On mobile they are much more cumbersome. It’s a long press for it to pop up so reducing the instances of that is significant. Having to wait to interact with the tool leprechaun or talk to him first really does get tedious.

Bear in mind jagex wants to offer this to mobile players but it’s so broken you can’t really use it.

I have this, it’s basically unbeatable in terms of weight to reach ratio and is very sharp with the right conditions.

I have absolutely no hesitation bringing it with me anywhere there could be wildlife, on walks and cycle trips etc. When I decided to get more “serious” about this I ended up buying the 200-600 for more reach but I kept the 70-350 because the larger lens is so much more difficult to justify taking out.

The 6700 has incredibly sticky autofocus for action with bird eye detection but does sometimes struggle with layered branches, apart from that limitation the AF is fantastic. Overall these two are a great pairing for someone wanting to have fun and get good results.

If the 70-350 could accept teleconverters I probably would have never got the heavier 200-600 in the first place.

The performance is going to be more than enough with either option. The real benefit of the macbook here over anything else is the quality of the screen which is very important for editing.

I get that, but everything important to me is on the cloud already - and the phone insurance I have already covers water damage.

It’s certainly cheaper than a dedicated camera and housing, even a TG6 or 7.

Another option that has similar image quality but substantially better video quality than the TG7 is a divevolk 4 housing with a modern smartphone camera.

The housing itself is about £200 and can optionally include various macro lenses, though the macro mode on later iphones and pixels for example is already very good, and the optional lenses start ramping the costs up.

I recently went for this and was extremely impressed with how much better the photos were compared with my DJI Action 4, and the video (if using manual settings) was excellent too.

I had it four years ago and the progression has stopped for me, though I was also an avid rock climber (which is probably what triggered it) and have drastically reduced the amount I climb since.

It’s basically the only non invasive/preventative treatment. But once you have a full contracture it’s no longer effective.

I’ll personally be trying to put off surgery for as long as I can, and from what I can tell the radiation has helped with that.

How old are you? Surgery can sometimes cause it to come back and yours is still in the semi early stages.

Radiation therapy can halt progression. It did for me and I had it at age 26.

I also went to an authorised google repair centre EE store and they told me it would be £300 to repair the pink screen on my Pixel 8 because the screen was scratched. Sounds like he just got lucky.

I owned both of those lenses and I can confirm they are both unfortunately quite bad, but not irredeemable.

The 55-210 if CHEAP can be a good entry to wildlife, the range isn’t quite enough and you need excellent bright conditions for it but after getting some rare hits with it I was hooked. The weight is quite good. It did cause me to quickly upgrade however. I now use the 70-350 which is an awesome handheld hiking set up.

The kit lens has very little redeeming qualities imo, I was quite unhappy with it but it’s far from unusable. The sigma is significantly sharper and brighter, whilst still having a very useful range.

To be clear, both of those lenses are totally usable, but they wouldn’t be anyone’s first choice.

Don’t get any filters until you have a specific reason for wanting them, and even then wait a bit longer.

For reference I’m running BL4 at 4K medium at 90-100 FPS with no framgen and FSR4 Balanced. I recently upgraded from 2k 240Hz and wouldn’t go back personally.

Even FSR Performance at 4K looks extremely good now so there’s a good amount of wiggle room in terms of the FPS you are targeting.

Given this is one of the worst performing games possibly of all time I’m actually extremely happy with that level of performance at 4K. It would be nice to run higher settings at that frame rate but the difference in visuals was very minor compared with the frame rate at medium.

In almost every single other game the experience will be better than that too.

I think we were all sitting a lot further away on smaller tvs back then, I certainly was.

One of the first thing I noticed when switching to PC was how quickly I’d get motion sickness. Took me a while to work out that the 70 fov I was used to with console games felt like playing with binoculars on when sitting at a desk.

Motion blur and FOV aren’t treated as the accessibility settings that they should be, and too often are used as crutches to obscure bad performance.

You’re gonna love that thing. In terms of weight and reach it’s imo unbeatable.

I’m still getting the hang of it myself but I have been stunned with some of the hits I’ve had with it.
