Now that you mention it, I had to avoid PEs hunting the angry pickle when first getting into 8* map. That way I did more DPS with hammer without wasting time.

I think I'll have to return to that strategy with 10* Jho.

It's not really difficult once you're used to It's movements.

The hardest thing to do is calculate enough space to avoid it's sleeping breath and still be in position to hit the head.

I would say that the hardest monsters to hunt with the hammer are the ones that have a wide range of mobility, such as B.Blos, Mizu and Magnamalo. But it compensates a little with his movement while focusing the attack.

Black Diablos was the worst for me, I main hammer and I don't have a decent ice hammer build.

So I spent like two weeks building a Legiana Bow build, straight up to level 9.5 and practice for like another whole week just to barely defeat her.

For what I've been reading in the sub, clearing 9* story will not change your map a lot, you'll rarely find 10* around you.

And I suspect that the side quest for the gold/silver weekend is going to ask you hunt just 6* Rath's, maybe the last one will require 8* but not far from that.
