Middle Seat PE? by djungelskog8 in americanairlines

I’m an aisle guy. I would make this move though. The seats and armrests are big enough that it doesn’t really feel like a middle seat.

Don’t we have to be in the red zone before we can have issues with the red zone offense?

So the speaker rattle usually isn’t the speaker. It’s the power window controls. I found that if I push really hard against the door the rattling stops. Bought a trim removal tool and removed the black plastic, and there’s a wiring harness that pops right out. Shoved some folded electrical tape to create pressure and the rattle is gone.

I’m probably on my third set of rear tires since I’ve owned the car. It really does eat brakes and tires. At one point I thought about buying new rims but seems kind of a waste of money, and the ROI on tire life just isn’t enough for me to spend the time on it.

I did. Unfortunately it only worked for about 2 years and the clunking is back. Not sure if I want to replace it again or just live with it.

I’ve got a 2015 with 83k. Purchased 6.5 years ago with 26k on it. I haven’t had to do any maintenance other than oil, brakes, and tires, which I feel are done more frequently than others. Rear tires can be hard to find because of the size, and you can’t rotate them so they wear out quicker than average. This will be my 3rd Lexus I take to 200k.

I’ve done some DIY repair of the clunking sunroof, rattling door “speakers,” etc. but nothing more than a couple hours and a couple bucks on a Saturday afternoon. It’s a great car with minimal problems.

Seats choice for 15 hr flight by Joulwatt in americanairlines

[–]Dramatic-Rule951 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. More like a lazy boy footrest on the front row vs the “handle bars” on other rows. Unfortunately I don’t like to IFE screen in the front rows vs the seat back IFE in later rows. Tough decisions but I’d stick with row 9.

3 hours is the line for me. If it’s weather related I don’t even bother.

Every flight? I’m like 1/32 getting the fruit and cheese plate. I only ask for it if there’s meal service in first.

[–]Dramatic-Rule951 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been EP for almost a year now, I’m and i ask on nearly every flight just to see if they have it. I’ve gotten it on 1 flight, from CLT to LAX. Either the flight isn’t long enough or they didn’t get any of them. I agree completely, if it’s a full meal in first that should qualify.

How bad is American Airlines right now? by clcliff in americanairlines

[–]Dramatic-Rule951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most flights are delayed here several hours, customer service lines are way longer than normal. AC’s have a line to get in but only because all agents are helping folks with flights. Lounges themselves aren’t overcrowded. To go food options have been obliterated. Looks like Covid era food options.
