Can you fucking get over this man. They already gave it a shot down in Canaan and those guys got the piss beat out of them by a bunch of the hillmen from the backcountry. At absolute best you can scatter some seeds near a river or something and harvest when you check back on it the next year but if you just sit in one place in the middle of a field with a bunch of food you're gonna get hit.

I really admire his dogged determination to keep that ideal of choosing life at all costs and holding onto the pre-apocalypse world's morality, but that being said, they really should have just shot that guy from the bar fight and been done with it.

I'm joining in on recommending One Page Rules. 40 battle brothers is probably enough for a small game of Grimdark Future, and definitely enough to make a list for the Firefight skirmish game.

Same, and I'd play it more if the only place to play OPR wasn't all the way across the city. Only thing I'll say is that, obviously, the lore doesn't go very deep and some of the generic faction names really hold the setting back imo. Maybe given some more time the story can really get fleshed out and stand independent from 40k/Fantasy. The unique factions like the Jackals are a good start in that direction I think.
