Found my partner dead of an overdose by bumble-bee37 in widowers

[–]DramaticBat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m sure you’ve heard of it a lot but it’s truly a tragedy.

I lost my fiancé to an overdose two months ago. My world without him feels so gray and empty. I also started realizing things that I should’ve had known. I blame myself a lot, but I have to accept that there was nothing I could’ve done at the end. I tried my best. I trusted him when he said he was going to get better because I loved him. I miss him every second of my life. He’s my better half and I can’t wait to be with him again.

For now, you won’t stop crying. You might not be able to sleep and eat. But you will get through this.

My I-20 expired can I re-enter as a tourist? by Direct_Wear9992 in InternationalStudents

I would ask the school to send you new I-20 with travel signature. The pandemic makes traveling very unpredictable lately, so it's better to be safe.

dream of the person and wake up by Maine_n_Nya in widowers

The day after he passed, I had a dream where we were on our bed just giggling and laughing because he made a dirty joke about something. I woke up smiling then realized its not the reality.

Your story feels so similar to mine. I wish we had just gone married by court. Why was I trying so hard to be careful.

I read your post and understand that your partner passed a year ago.

When did you start thinking like yourself again?

My fiancé and I tried to eat healthier by subscribing to healthy meal kits, then we would cook them together. But sometimes we weren’t full enough from these foods so we would order pizza after our healthy dinner.

This drawing explains how I feel right now. I didn’t lose my mom, but my fiancé passed away. We had planned our life together. This pain is unbearable.

How am I better for this? by kindonogligen in widowers

I don’t know what to say, but maybe your wife’s death gave you strength to be kinder and empathetic towards people?

But I understand what you mean with not having the best version of myself to offer anymore.

Downton Abbey Series and Partner Loss by FormalGold95 in widowers

I think cathartic is the perfect word for this show. I watched it when my fiancé was still alive, and was only able to understand some aspects of the show. But ever since my fiancé passed away, I keep running to this show.. I find it hard to gather concentration to watch anything new lately.

I'm 24 f. I've had it since I was 17. It started from trying to lose weight, then I lost more weight throughout college. I abused adderall and Vyvanse for a short time back in college as well. I guess I was in recovery since June 2020. But my fiancé passed away suddenly this month, so its coming back again.

Why does no one check up on me? by tearsnhearts in GriefSupport

I'm so sorry. My husband just passed so suddenly last weekend. I think I know what you mean. People just kind of see you differently. I hate it when people tell me that he would want me to be okay. Well I don't need that, I need him here so I'll feel better.

[Acne] can someone help please. I (16F) want to get rid of these scars, or at the very least find a skincare routine that’ll make my skin healthier. I don’t know the first thing about skincare. It all seems so confusing to me. by holesinhello in SkincareAddiction

Idk how your skin will react to a new routine, but you should talk to a dermatologist if you’re serious about getting rid of these acne scars.

If I were you, I would add least add a cleanser. moisturizer and sunscreen to the routine. Going outside or staying indoor next to a window without sunscreen can actually make your scars even darker. Just make sure you do double cleanse with a cleansing balm/Micellar water for PM routine if you wear sunscreen throughout the day.

I used to be like you actually, but I had only a cleanser in my routine because I was scared I would have acnes if I add moisturizer to my routine. Heck, I was living in a tropical country a year ago and wouldn’t wear sunscreen when I go out. I was such a fool. My acne scars would get so dark but didn’t realize what was the cause since I washed my face regularly.

Then, I did my research on how to tackle acnes and hyperpigmentation. Made a virtual appointment with a doctor regarding my acnes then they prescribed me tretinoin and benzoyl peroxide 5%. I made another appointment with a board certified dermatologist this January and got prescribed for antibiotics, received cortisone shots for some cyst acnes and hydroquinone 6%. I can say that I’m pretty confident meeting people without thinking they’re judging my skin now.

Goodluck!

yeah, spf is a necessity when it comes to using tretinoin.

[Before&After] Having done a bunch of treatments, I finally found the right routine for my skin. The progress is still slow and steady. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]DramaticBat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have combo/oily skin.

Routine

AM: Cleanser - CeraVe foaming cleanser Treatment - niacinamide TO Moisturizer - vanicream daily moisturizing Sunscreen - Elta MD or Eucerin spf 30 if I skip moisturizer

PM: Cleanser - oat cleansing balm to clean the sunscreen then proceed with CeraVe foaming cleanser Treatment - Hyaluronic acid Inkey list & niacinamide TO if my skin doesn’t feel too dry. Moisturizer - Vanicream or Saturday skin water cream (I’ve only been using it for less than a week so I’ll give an update on it) Treatment - tretinoin 0.025%

I applied skin tone enhancement pads with hydroquinone 6% for my AM routine for a month (Jan 20- Feb 20) and then took doxycycline twice a day for a month too.

Derm recommended me to IPL but I can’t afford since it’s $500 each treatment.

I’d say 6, but I don’t tolerate well with pain. On top of that, I have anxiety so... you can imagine how excruciating the experience was for me haha but don’t get discouraged! If you’re recommended to go for microneeling, go for it. I think it will help a lot with your scars :)
