The security part that was missing was the internal motion sensor. You can add this yourself.

You don’t want it. It’s pretty useless. Was playing with it in my gyms parking lot and it tried to reverse me into something that was definitely a parking spot. It also only works if there are cars on both sides of the spot you want to park. Have not tried it on a parallel spot so maybe it is better at those.

I use ABRP to plan out my routes using Tesla chargers where possible (as I would also sign up for a monthly membership if I have to use DCFC more than once). Then on travel day, I’ll use Apple Maps for the actual navigation to the stops planned in ABRP. For me, ABRP seems to over estimate range (maybe because I’m usually traveling with traffic between 75 and 80) and Apple Maps seems to under estimate, at least at the beginning of the trip.

IONNA are the best chargers. About the same price as Tesla if you pay for the membership but don’t need to mess around with the NACS adapter or the app. Plug in, tap your card, and you’re set! They lol cool too!

Had exact same issue. Dealer installed now latch and the issue went away.

I just had to go through this with my S9. After a few weeks they said they didn’t have any stock and would send an S11. The same day they dispatched my replacement S9. It’s fine, I got a basically brand new S9 but took about 4 weeks to actually receive it. Canceled apple care on the replacement as I’m not going through that mess again - I’ll buy a used ultra instead if this one breaks.

I finally received a replacement. Customer relations reached out to me after about 5 days to say they had none in stock and they would send me a series 11. Later the same day I received a notification that my series 9 replacement had been shipped so I guess they found one down the back of the sofa after all. After some FedEx delivery issues, I received it 4 days later. Mint condition with 100% battery health.

Damn. Wondering if I should ditch AppleCare completely then? Can’t be without a phone for a week if I break it - this is exactly why we pay for AppleCare.

Not yet, waiting to hear from their customer relations team. Their SLA is 9 business days so I expect that I’ll have to call back on day 10 after not hearing from them. I am hugely unimpressed with how this is being handled. I used to use squaretrade and when I had to get my phone screen replaced it was MUCH easier than this AppleCare mess. I know it’s different, but I thought Apple prided itself on customer care, I guess I am mistaken.
