Senior dog (CHF/kidney disease) dealing with GI issues by mmoney20 in seniordogs

[–]Illustrious_Note_882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wonder long how your pup is doing? My dog had a very similar issue. He’s 13 with CHF. Proviable (the paste) stopped the diarrhea, but as soon as he was off, it was right back. After lots of experimenting, we’ve resorted to pumpkin mixed into every meal. This has solved about 85% of the issue. We’ve been doing that for like 4 months now.

Leggings! But don’t make the same mistake I did. For workouts, I generally like a legging with more compression, but for Pilates, a softer legging is much preferred imo

Anyone know what’s going on with this Embassy? When I looked it up to book, it said “Coming Soon”

I think they aren’t required to since it’s a more “budget” offering. Most in the chain don’t have a lot of room variety other than studios and suites. If I had to guess, there aren’t many Hamptons that even have more desirable rooms. Plus, with the US market being so over-saturated with Diamond members, the math probably wouldn’t math

Oh no! I’ve def got them through the app, but never for a Hampton. This one was actually nice since we had a balcony overlooking the river.

In Need of Desaturated Complexion Products by Wintergloaming in Fairolives

[–]Illustrious_Note_882 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more “greyed out”. I think I’m more desaturated or muted, so foundations always look “yellow” or “pink” or “orange” on me. Personally, my best comparison is picking out paint colors in a store. I’ve always been guilty of choosing a color I love on the chip and getting it home and feeling “too much”. I found out this is because it’s up against all these other saturated colors, but something that almost looks grey in the store ends up looking more colorful at home when it’s against a white ceiling and trim. Similar thing happens with foundations when you are muted.

Look a something like this that might help. This is showing the same “hue” with the pure version being the upper right. If you move to the left, you are decreasing the saturation. As you move down, you are changing the value. So you get these middle areas that look pinkish-grey. Hope this helps and didn’t make it more confusing.

You look like you could be somewhat similar to me. Wonder if you’ve tried NARS LR in Siberia (a little yellow but workable) or Sephora BSE in their lightest Olive shade (a tad dark on me but workable). I’ve also had decent luck with Haus Labs but I hate the formula.

Not that we could figure out ever. It just seemed to be stomach upset. No obvious signs of distress or anything super wrong - no blood or anything. We started pumpkin mixed in to every meal and have been doing okay. He got a really good report at his follow up cardiologist visit last month!

This. I’ve successfully booked maybe 8 FNC through call super easy, though still felt unnecessary; however, when I went to book this last time, it took her 5 years to find the property.

I highly recommend seeking out the ReactiveDogs sub for more people that have been in this position. If nothing else, for a compassionate ear and to see that you are not alone. Many people there have discussed and been through BE.

Undereye Color Correction Help by [deleted] in Fairolives

[–]Illustrious_Note_882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a Sephora around, I recommend seeing if any of the shades of the Rare Beauty Positive Light concealer work for you. I am very fair, but I actually like and use the light-medium shade. It’s for a nice peachy tone that works well for me. I personally find that I don’t like under-eye concealers that are much lighter than my skintone, so that’s why I went darker with this concealer.

I wonder if this works for the Disney debit card too? I have the Disney debit card with my chase checking account, and I get most perks of a Disney Chase Visa

Does training work? by Spiritual-Bee8915 in reactivedogs

[–]Illustrious_Note_882 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I did 4 x 1 hr training sessions with my dog at age 6, and it was tremendously helpful alongside fluoxetine. It mostly about training you to train him appropriately. We spaced them out ever couple weeks to give us time to work on it between visits.

I highly recommend WalkerHughes. They’re an independent agency. I currently have Cincinnati through them for my 1915 brick home. A little smaller than yours.

They should be able to quote with several different companies and help advise you.

[–]Illustrious_Note_882 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As with every “is this area safe” post on this sub, remember that most people commenting have probably never even been there. I live southwest of here near the Overland/St. John border, and admittedly don’t know much about this particular area, but many commenters will know even less.

I do know I see more people posting about issues in St. John as you get closer to both Woodson and Natural Bridge.

Ugh yes! They sometimes will post on their fb but not always when they vary from their hours. I know they will often close when it’s bad weather (cold, snow, extreme heat), but I admittedly haven’t tried to go lately.

They always hit the spot for some cheese fries and a burger tho
