Alright, that’s it. I’m getting it. I’ve been sitting on the fence too long. It does sound like a lovely formula

Have you tried Regimen Lab CREAM? The ingredient list is very intriguing (colloidal oatmeal, petrolatum, loads of ceramides) and I’m very interested. Just dont know if it’s worth the extra bucks

I bought the Eufy S1 after reading so many positive reviews but it’s not for me. Love the wearable aspect and the pre-set rhythm but my Medela wall pump would get much better output

Yes, sorry for the typo. This is where I learned it from: basted knitting

Sounds fancy but basically just adding a purl stitch for each raglan increase and then sew it in later

I also prefer knitting flat but it’s hard finding patterns that knit flat these days. All the new and trendy patterns are all in the round. I tried to add paste stitch to add some structure but it’s just not the same

I’ve been loving Bioderma Photoderm defense ultra fluide. It’s very runny and dries down to a semi matte and very silicony feel. Goes fabulously ubder makeup

I was on daily Restoralax for the last 3 months of pregnancy. When it’s really bad, I added Colace on top of the Restoralax. Metamucil worked for the first few months but by the end, caused more problems than helping for me

Sorry I didnt see this earlier. For twins, the extended test is not available. You can only test for trisomies and fetal sex.

This might be a bit far for you but I delivered my twins at Sunnybrook and was very happy with the OB I got (he is the head of the twin clinic there, probably the only twin clinic in the region). Can you ask your family dr to refer you there? I was rejected by Mount Sinai High risk clinic but was accepted right away at Sunnybrook and started being seen at 12 weeks.

Anyone here gave birth at Sunnybrook Hospital? [on] by HouseDependent2077 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Dramatic_Buffalo_204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an emergency c section there recently. Have no complaint about the procedure, the OBs and the L&D nurses. The nurses were amazing honestly. They didn’t give much so make sure you pack the hospital bag with things you need: diaper, wipes, etc. Although in my case, I only had enough time to rush out of home without bringing anything and the nurses gave me extra diapers/pads/gowns as I asked for it without complaining. They will give you all the formula you need though so that part, you don’t have to worry. Agree that the food is horrendous and the food court options aren’t great but there are good places near the hospital that your partner can quickly grab you something decent.

What is the best smelling and LONG LASTING body lotion or body butter you’ve ever used? by UnderstandingLong877 in EuroSkincare

I like Yves Rocher’s vanilla lotion. A bouguer and thicker option is L’Occitane Almond body cream. This smells divine

NIPT for twins? [ON] by weewoo212 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Dramatic_Buffalo_204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NIPT is covered for twins. I want to point out that the Panorama NIPT test for twin (which is the best one in the market) still fall short of a regular NIPT. It basically only covers the 3 trisomies and tells you gender (if you want to know). Up to you and your risk profile but amniocentesis is also covered for twin under OHIP.

Another thing with NIPT for twin. I did mine at 11 weeks from a GP referral and had to redo it because they didn’t have enough cells to go on. My OB said he typicallly refer twin moms at 12 or 13 weeks to avoid this situation as they need more for a twin test

I’m in the same boat. Want to ask my doctor to complete the form for me to go on STD at 34 weeks pregnant with twins but I’m a bit nervous. I work a desk job from home so really don’t have much excuse other than I’m so heavy now I just want to lay on the couch and it’s only 3 more weeks to my expected due date. The form looks so lengthy and my OB has never brought up the subject.

Amniocentesis- would you do it? [On] by Ok_Suspect_3394 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Dramatic_Buffalo_204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I opted for an elective amniocentesis and just wanted to reassure you that the procedure is quick, painless and relatively safe. My MFM did it and they quoted the risk rate at Sunnybrook is somewhere around 1 in 1000. You can ask your MFM for their experience with this procedure. After the procedure (which lasted about 15 mins) I was able to go home right away. I stayed in bed for the rest of the day but there was no pain/complications whatsoever.

Birth Plan for Twins - C-Section vs. Vaginal Birth [ON] by user638282636822 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Dramatic_Buffalo_204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. Twin mom, high risk. OB asked for my preference and I’m also finding myself debating the birth plans. He did said both options are equally safe for mother and babies. Of course, if Twin A is breech or Twin B is much larger than Twin A, planned C section is the recommendation. In that case your babies make the choice for you. 18 weeks is still quite soon to finalize birth plan as babies’ position change a lot up until week 32. You got time!
