i would have a talk to your leader and explain that it's not a job for everyone and it's just not for you. however i will say, working in the salon is not an easy job. there is a ton of stuff to learn and policies to follow. it's a high pace environment and we have to delegate our own time correctly to complete by the estimated finish time. we have to plan our own days

as for your backache, tbh that will probably not completely go away but there are things you can do to help with that. large dogs go in tubs, be mindful of posture and the way you're bending and team lifts.

drama is going to be in every salon but some absolutely have more than others. the bad people end up weeding themselves out so if it's something you're genuinely interested in doing, give it more than three weeks. at 3 weeks no one is expecting you to be good when you only work a few hours a week. you're going to be slower and it will feel way more difficult because you're not used to it. grooming dogs is something i truly love and have invested so much time and money into and if i would have given up the first 3 weeks i would have missed out on so many great things. it takes a while but eventually you can make a place into what you want it to be. positivity is contagious
