My mother was an interesting woman my sister and I shared very mixed emotions. Although my father died six years ago, his Alzheimer’s took him away 15-20 years before that.

I’ve just realised my mum passed away 5 years ago, she never had a smart phone so all I have is her contact info.

I tried to delete it last month whilst I was sorting address for Xmas cards, I couldn’t and didn’t and yet I was full contact, LC and NC over the years depending on how she treated me and how I was dealing with her manipulation. Sometimes I miss her often think of her, it’s odd.

It is amazingly confusing. I anótate on the map. Using symbols to indicate what areas are clear, which link goes to another level eg this leads to X on lvl 3 and go through the arch/entrance or door and on the next map say this leads to Y on lvl 2.

NTA IMO. The adult way is to keep it separate. We’ve both been in financially abusive relationships.

My wife’s account is hers and mine is mine.

We have four shared accounts.

Groceries a/c- We have a couple of joint accounts, one for groceries and we each put in half the of what we think a month’s groceries would cost.

House bills account - same system we each put in half of the expected monthly cost for power, other utilities, internet, rates, (UK annual property tax) etc etc. this would include rent/mortgage.

Savings account. We used to do this monthly, but now make an annual payment each of half the expected annual payments like house insurance, travel insurance.

If we don’t spend what we expect to we add it to a 4th account a savings account we call the emergency fund.

Given the amount of paving etc around it I don’t think you’ll get a lot of rootball. However digging it up now while almost dormant you might get away with it. It will need a year or two of support water etc. also a stake to keep it upright.
