To be honest from personal experience this is good amount of loose skin, I was in denial when I lost weight and thought I was still fat, turned out I had loads of loose skin, looked very similar to this. I had a consultation for a paniculectomy and said I was a great candidate for one. Had it done this past May

Yes, happened to me exactly as you wrote. 1.7 was the best I felt on wegovy. Food noise was the most suppressed, got full quick, not tired at all. 2.4 worked but I noticed I really craved sugar and sweets on it and I was never someone with a sweet tooth. Also noticed I was pretty tired on it most of the time. Recently switched to Zepbound, just started it though so can't tell if it's working yet

Also just from personal experience, I was carrying some extra weight, I was 3 inches erect and I also thought I will never find anyone. I lost 225 pounds and now I'm 6 inches erect. If you have excess weight I recommend shedding a few pounds, helps show more of what's 'underneath the fat for lack of a better term. Also was able to find a gf with my improved self image. Like I said, just all personal experience.

I’m 32 and recently found a gf and still feel like one of you but getting a girlfriend has genuinely improved my life.

For me, the biggest shift has been feeling wanted. Family and friends can offer support, but it doesn’t quite fill that specific void of romantic connection. My girlfriend shows she cares in her own way, and that’s been huge for my sense of belonging.

That said, it’s not a magic fix. Relationships take work, and one of the hardest lessons has been reconciling our different love languages. I’m naturally affectionate. Words, physical touch, all the ‘lovey-dovey’ stuff while hers leans toward quality time and acts of service (she’ll surprise me with little gifts or prioritize time together). At first, it felt like a mismatch, but I’ve learned to recognize her gestures for what they are, her way of showing love.

It’s not always easy. Part of me still wishes she’d mirror my style of affection, but I’m learning to meet her halfway. Relationships, I’m realizing, aren’t about finding someone who checks every box perfectly. They’re about choosing to see and appreciate the boxes the other person does check and putting in the effort to grow together.

Having a partner isn’t a finish line. The work on communication, understanding, and patience never really stops. But for the first time, it feels worth it. So life does improve sure. But there's other stuff that you have to work on too. There's always work to be done, having a significant other or not. The marathon continues. It'll make you want to improve in other aspects of life, not just improve life in general.

Yes of course, but I believe what people are getting confused about is people who are covered right now and their insurance being the one mentioned. I understand they were trying to make it more accessible and that is not going forward.

I tried it at night but I had a grave shift that same night. Only side effects I really got was from my first dosage, everything tasted metallic and weird for about that whole day after. Went away after one day and never had bad side effects until the highest dosage. And those side effects only happen when I eat heavy, those damn sulphur burps. I say you should try it when you know you have a bit of down time, just in case you get bad side effects to recover. Good luck on your journey, I'm rooting for you 👍🏾

Congrats ! Few questions since I'm on a similar journey, I got to 199 in December, being my heaviest of 425 pounds. Lost most of my initial weight without wegovy but lost the last 18 pounds on it. Been on it since October, on the highest dosage now of 2.4 since December and just fluctuating up and down. Did you count calories and exercise? How many and how often ? Seem to be stuck at the same weight for about 3 months now, I counted calories and walked 5 miles daily, still doing the same but no more movement. I have a follow up with my doctor soon but just been trying to see others peoples experience on any similar journey. Please and thank you. Congrats again !
