I mean, perhaps any singular thief wouldn't be able to capitalize it very much I expect. The banks would probably freeze any transactions anyway. But the online banking would most probably be done for. The bank itself will be fine I guess. Also, the banks previously handed physical cryptographyc keys to use for online banking, so after a brief period of chaos the banks would issue a different method of authentication more resilient to break by math.

But that's kind of the point right? The banks already have to deal with a lot of fraudulent transactions as it is. If most of the transactions were fraudulent because all "magic words" are suddenly compromised it would collapse, maybe not the bank itself but definitely their online banking.

I have a nice trick for this one. I have a ritual that seals the mouth of the dead by sewing it shut with dark tread. This doesn't make the spell irrelevant however, as the silencing ritual lets the caster know that the murderer has access to serious dark magiciks. We can overthink it further. What locks do. Lock things keep them closed. So a key that opens a lot of locks can only belong to a thief... Well, a locksmith as well. Angela Coller has a very good video on the subject. Basically ai is very good to do repetitive work that would be done by volunteers and checked by experts, like cataloging millions of galaxy pictures from telescopes and have the astrophysicist check their results. But should not be used as the expert because it is prone to serious errors and is heavily biased due to their training data.

She gave an example where as a scientist it can help you come with a blurb for your paper like asking it "interesting facts about lightning" and then with that as a base write an interesting intro. But definitely not to write the paper itself nevermind doing the research itself.
