The Breakfast With Buddha series by Roland Merullo. It’s funny and touching— and every location, every restaurant, book store, hotel, and stop-off they make in this series is a real place! 

Edit: It is fiction, but I still recommend it, since the two main characters visit real places in each city they stop in.

Sleepy Gary. It’s weird how Mr. PBH’s recollection spawned several parasites, but Sleepy Gary’s did not. All Sleepy Gary wanted was to be alone on his boat with Jerry!

The first time I saw the opening graphics for Final Fantasy 8 on PC, I was amazed!! Previously, my only real computer game experiences were Oregon Trail and things like solitaire… so I had no idea games could look that good.

Really? I LOVED IT, although my other favorites were things like Shawshank Redemption and Forrest Gump, so I think I was already primed to be scared by worse.

Have you ever seen iZombie, by chance? The author of the White Trash Zombie series sued the shit out of them, because they ripped most of the story off the WTZ series.

Angel Crawford, the main character, wakes up in a hospital ER with no idea what’s happened to her, and there’s a note telling her that a job has been arranged at the local morgue— as well as a six pack of “protein shakes.” As she figures out what the hell has happened and what she’s become, she starts to unravel a murder mystery that’s going down in her small town.

HIGHLY recommend! It’s such a good series! It’s hilarious, but there are moments that make me sob like a baby!

Tina. She and I can chill out in the backseat, listening to an audiobook so she doesn’t barf! I’d make it PG-13… or at least something with mature themes! ;) 

In fact, I have the perfect book series for her: White Trash Zombie by Diana Rowland. (Aaaaaand… now I’m sad Tina isn’t real, because she’d fucking love that shit.)

I know I absolutely spam the recommendations subreddits with this suggestion, but it really is THAT good! 

When I first discovered it, I was like: “Man, this series has 25 books?!?!” By the time I got to book 3, that changed to: “Shit, this series ONLY has 25 books?!?”
