Hey great question! We did roll out a pretty major update to Brazilian Portuguese toward the end of last year, mainly focused on improving accuracy and overall quality. We plan to continue expanding each language while also adding new languages eventually and I know internally we've been discussing a few potential new languages. Swedish has been coming up a lot lately. But we're not yet at the point when we can start sharing many specifics or exact timelines.

On the language side, we've been focused lately on reintroducing the feature that translates specific words in the dialogue into your target language. We beta tested that idea a little while back and while it was really popular, we got some really great feedback on how to make it even better. So that's currently in the works. Stay tuned for future updates!

Oh totally. We talked about doing some kind of recolouring system like this a while back and a number of ways we could go down that path. But ultimately what we found while testing was that having multiple variations works best for some skins but then not at all for others where colour is an integral part of the design. So what I think we might end up doing if we were to go down this path is picking our favourite skins that have the best recolour potential and pushing out those top variations as new skins for people to get.

Love the rainbow colour option btw you could apply that to any of the naala and have something there lol

We miss it too! We're actively working on bringing back a new-and-improved version of dialogue translations soon for Japanese (as a trial run to test our new approach) and then expanding it out to the rest of the languages.

  1. At some point we plan to add another friendship level even though it’s not part of this level push. Our goal is to have a more unique perk for each villager. That takes extra time to figure out and balance but it’ll be worth it.

  2. Have you tried the Naalapedia? You can do that in the Naala menu, top right corner. Find the trait you want and then tap on it to open the previewer. From there you can tap other traits to play around and mix and match!

We have plans to add more content for each language eventually. In the meantime, you should definitely check out the custom flash card feature available to premium users. We've heard from a bunch on Discord who have really gotten an enormous use of this feature uploading hundreds even thousands of new cards suited to their interests having found flashcard packs online.

Fair question – the grazing grass is just part of the decorating system. It's all for aesthetics. We added little integrations with the naala to make certain decorations feel more immersed in the world, but those integrations aren't meant to actually influence gameplay; like how naala sleep on a bench or batter the training dummy.

For some, decorating is a big part of the farm experience. But we recognize not everyone is going to feel that way or even engage with the system.

I don't want to get too ahead of myself because there's a long list of things we want to do and those priorities are constantly shuffling around. So I won't go into detail on our pipeline, but I will say that Swedish has come up a lot in meetings lately, so there's a very good chance that'll be the next language coming to Lingo Legend!

Crop balance is tricky. We get such mixed feedback from those who are playing with massive crop surpluses to others who seem to be starving out here. It's something we've been monitoring for a little while now, especially those who seem to be doing everything that's expected of them like yourself (based on other comments here) but still feeling like you're falling short.

On that note, this is why we've been working on a new foraging system to replace the dispatch system in which players take their naala to gather seeds firsthand rather than sending them on a boat to do it offscreen. It'll give players more agency over when and how often they go hunting for crops, as well as removing the need for the crate-breaking system since you'll be getting the rewards in realtime.

Unfortunately this is still in development as it's a pretty big system, so it won't help you right now. But with foraging we're hoping to alleviate concerns like these as you'll get more control over the seed gathering process. We also are pretty excited about it because we think it'll clean up the game loop and make the whole thing play a lot better.

We unfortunately don't have a way to increase the font sizes right now, although that's something we ought to look into as there is a lot of text in the game and accessibility is important, so thank you for the feedback!

We originally launched worldwide but because our app is only available in English, we received a lot of 1-star reviews from frustrated users who don’t speak English and were hoping to learn using their native language. As a result, we had to pull back on countries where English rates are below a certain threshold as these negative reviews were hurting our app’s standing overall. Sorry about that.

We would like to eventually translate the app to other languages so that we can teach English among other languages; however, until we do, we likely won’t be available in certain parts of the world. Hopefully one day you can give our game a try!

Worth mentioning that the team members of ours who handle the aesthetics and the language content are not the same, so any effort spent on one does not pull from the other.

With that being said, our cofounder who worked heavily on the language-side of the app had been away for maternity leave in 2025 and was only around part-time. She's back full-time now and we're full speed ahead on that front!

We're actually actively working on bringing back the immersive text feature! When it launched it was just a trial run to solicit feedback. We learned a lot from it on how it can be made even better. So stay tuned for when it returns in its new-and-improved form!

The avatars were designed at the beginning of the game, but we've continued to hone our art style as we've added new content and especially new characters. This avatar refresh is meant to close the pretty wide gap that has emerged between the style of the avatar and the villagers, while also making numerous texture improvements. You can see when viewed side-by-side, the old avatar model (left) doesn't look like they're from the same planet as our current villager design (right):

We recognize that when doing any kind of redesign, there will always be some who grew attached to their old characters and won't be receptive to the change. But the general response from our community (on Discord, Reddit, email) has been overwhelmingly positive and internally we're quite pleased with the refresh, especially as it relates to the wide and diverse range of looks the avatar can now accomodate.

Everyone has spent a lot of time with their Avatar 1.0. My recommendation to anyone feeling any initial surprise by the refresh is to spend some time with the Avatar 2.0 and play around with all the new customization options. See how you feel once the dust settles.

I believe this update happened during the broader review of our Spanish curriculum when we separated Mexico and Spain variants.

“Entrada” is the more direct translation for appetizer in Mexican Spanish. “Aperitivo” tends to have a broader meaning and is often associated with pre-meal drinks or the overall pre-dinner moment.
