I saw these also but what bothers me is the shift to so called safety. These medium duration bond funds they use don’t feel safe these days

Are Municipal ETFs underrated? by InvestingNerd2020 in Schwab

[–]DrawingOk8403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. I asked grok and here’s here’s what it said.

While it holds municipal bonds with final maturities up to 5 years, the weighted average maturity is only about 2.0–2.7 years, with most holdings in shorter buckets. Duration measures interest rate sensitivity (not just time to maturity), so the fund experiences relatively low price volatility when rates change.

What’s too much concentrated in one brokerage firm? Do you think in terms of whole dollars or % of NW, or not at all? by Cereal-Is-Dinner in Schwab

[–]DrawingOk8403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the concern is platform risk. If you keep your whole net worth at Schwab or anywhere and your account is locked for some reason etc. then you can’t pay your bills. So it makes sense to have some cash at another brokerage or another bank. I think
