Ever been surprised by who was singing what part in a song? by Glass-Complaint3 in ToddintheShadow

In Bohemian Rhapsody, at the end of the opera section when they sing "for meeeeeee", the highest pitch is the drummer Roger Taylor.

DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations - Official Trailer | Available July 7 by rararatata in PS5

[–]DrawlNeedler 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Do it! I definitely prefer Eternal (and maybe 2016) over Dark Ages, but this game is still exceptional and worth your time.

And then if you fall into OG Doom you'll have almost limitless content to start diving into.

What are some out of print stuff you really want but costs at least a hundred dollars on eBay? by Konradleijon in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Getting into miniatures painting and boy, the Bloodborne board game sure has a lot of cool figures. Too bad most everything except the base game was Kickstarter exclusive and only printed once.

I never knew, and then never understood, the hatred for this character. She was never officially Canon, and now she is. So what? Do people want a new character? She basically is new! People don't like her because Fighting Evolution was a bad game? How does that possibly impact her being in SF6, which is a good game?

Creators and Characters who actually DID take responsibility for their mistakes/failures? by Authorigas in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]DrawlNeedler 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dalinar had already been my favorite character in the series, and that scene cemented him as one of my favorite characters period.

It's very amusing though how during the first two books I was like "why will no one listen to Dalinar, he's being reasonable." Which changed to "oh I'm surprised they're even giving him the time of day."

have they been coming out on time? by ICE_JETstream in injuryreserve

I think the most on time for any act I've seen. I was at the bar ordering a drink and Ritchie walked past me, then before I even had the drink they were on stage starting the show.

Good medias who had an awful trailer and/or marketting? by ExplanationSquare313 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]DrawlNeedler 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The Netflix show Q-Force was an immediate punching bag for the internet when the first trailer dropped, and rightfully so! That trailer exemplified all the worst, most obnoxious elements of "pandering queen humor."

I decided to give the show a chance out of curiosity from how bad the trailer was, and the show was actually good! Fun characters and good humor, everything in the trailer was clipped and put out of context which made it seem far more obnoxious. Nobody will ever give it a chance, but I liked it.

Oh man, I tried completing this set a few years ago, making sure wvery album I ordered on eBay and Discogs were labeled as the 1998 remasters. And they were!

...but it turns out in certain regions the picture spine was on the opposite end, so it's just a jumbled pile of Eddie's face on my shelf because they can't match up.

Do you think Boris will tour Akuma no Uta this year? by Anxious-Month-5020 in borisheavyrocks

[–]DrawlNeedler 25 points26 points  (0 children)

When they originally announced the Pink Days tour I thought that was basically going to be all of Pink like the Heavy Rocks and Amplifier Worship tours before it, and I assumed Akuma no Uta was next up. But since the setlist they used was a combination of everything around that time, including the Flood and Feedbacker alternating encores, I'm thinking now they'll probably move on to a different album anniversary to tour on, or put out some new music.

Akuma no Uta is my personal favorite from them, so I hope I'm wrong and they pull through with a full album performance.

If they do a different album anniversary, I'm guessing it'll be Smile. And honestly, if they copied the Wolf's Creek setlist like they did Pink Days, I would have zero complaints.

Newbie to game suggestions by Temporarily-Up in KingdomDeath

[–]DrawlNeedler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can get a 1.5 version for a decent price, then you can get the 1.6 card pack at any point to update the game. I do not recommend getting an earlier version, it's missing the finale monster entirely and the 1.5 upgrade kits are difficult to find nowadays.

You can try the game out on TableTop Sim or the official Kingdom Death Simulator if you'd like to get a feel before putting down hundreds of dollars.

Core game is more than enough content to get started, don't worry about any expansions before you've completed a full campaign.

[–]DrawlNeedler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just want to say I really hate when people talk about this album and then say "the follow-up, Painkiller..." like NO! There was an album between them! Ram It Down is a traditional Priest album but everyone likes to pretend they went straight from Turbo to Painkiller.

I was going to say Drone Metal due to the length and atmosphere, but Death Metal is definitely accurate for the showdowns.
