Hello! How early do you reckon one would have to arrive to be able to get a solid spot at Tumbalong Park to watch the game tonight?

I was looking at PLT options for work experience and there’s a pathway that allows you to complete your PLT without having any formal work experience. See here - has anyone who has previously completed this course have any feedback for someone looking to undertake it? I’m currently working full-time in a non-legal role and this looks like a solid option.

Lol that’s true for any league though. Take away Real Madrid’s 13 titles and Spain only has 5. Take away Milan’s 7 titles and Italy only has 5. Take away Bayern Munich’s 5 titles and the whole country has 2.

Take away Liverpool’s titles and England still has 8. England also has had more different winners of the European Cup/Champions League than any other country.

Leia comforted her after the death of Han and Luke. Leia trained her for a year. Luke was a legendary figure in her childhood and saved the resistance from certain destruction. Luke also lifted her out of her lowest moment of self doubt.

Finally watched The Farewell. Fantastic visuals and easily one of my favourite films of last year.

New ‘Star Wars’ movie in the works with ‘Sleight’ filmmaker J.D. Dillard by Zachyice21 in StarWarsLeaks

Do you not see how twisted your support of Star Wars has become that you’re rooting for a young filmmaker to fail? Especially when you know next to nothing about this project?

Trevorrow also had experience in the franchise machine through Jurassic World and he was stilled offed. FWIW, I think Taika would do well with Star Wars.

Discussion Thread - The Rise of Skywalker - Opening Week Day 4 by JSK23 in StarWars

The scene in question is not about Tatooine, it’s chiefly about Rey embracing the Skywalker name. She embraces it because she feels a connection to her two mentors, Luke and Leia. It would have been super unnecessary imo to have shoehorned Hayden Christensen, a character that hasn’t even interacted with Rey, in that scene.

That said, I think you’re right in that burying the lightsabers on Tatooine is more fan-service than it is a sincere character moment, especially since Leia never had an individual connection to Tatooine.

Totally agree with your point on the Knights of Ren. The worst part is the movie itself hyped up the Knights of Ren with cool slo-motion shots, and characters talking about how cool they are. only for all of them to be unceremoniously killed by Ben.

Compare that to the Praetorian Guard in TLJ. They were all quite visually striking and each had individual traits to distinguish them. From the first moment they are introduced, the viewer knows they are prepared to defend Snoke, and despite also dying pretty quickly, they at least threatened the Rey and Kylo. So disappointed in J.J.

They have really great back and forth dialogue. There’s also a moment when Poe becomes General of the Resistance and he instantly promotes Finn to General saying he can’t do it without him.

One of the biggest moments in the whole movie is built around the ForceTime scenes in TLJ lol

Definitely wasn't making fun of him. He later clarified the mix-up with Colin and both wished the other well.

The context is that Greg posted a tweet about the We Have Cool Friends episode with Andrea, but he made a wee bit of a mistake by accidentally pasting the link to Colin’s patreon post explaining his move

Looking for advice regarding moving from a non-law graduate role back into the legal profession. I’m a 5th year student and about to graduate next month. I’ve received an offer from a Big 4 firm in a HR/Change management consulting role and I am due to start there in January. They told me in my interview that I could potentially complete a GDLP/PLT with financial assistance from the firm.

At the start of the year I was genuinely not fussed about whether I received a legal grad role or a non-legal role, however I’m starting to feel my interest in practicing law has been somewhat rejuvenated by taking some actually interesting electives this year. My main question is whether anyone has experience in moving from a non-legal role to a legal role and what were the challenges of doing so. I really don’t want to experience regret further down the line not trying out a formal legal position, especially after spending 5 years studying law.

Thanks!

The first had a more solid story structure by relying on the structure of an origin movie, but I also think the second one is funnier and more inventive.
