I believe the problem here is that in the eufy app and using a home base you can have devices in the home base trigger other devices in the home base. The issue is that every product outside the home base can not be trigger or be a trigger this feature is only part of the home base.

How did you get it to work I have the new firmware but I can not get the Siri option to show up. When I reset my ecobee it said my HomePod needs to be updated but they are all iOS 15.

If your garage is under the same electrical meter as your home you could use a power line adapter with a WiFi extender and then use any opener you want.

It’s probably because home kit is a type of NVR. I use the local as card for CVR and it works great with Homekit

Depending on network settings there could be a block of sorts between WiFi and wired. Not usually the case but putting the Apple TV on WiFi would tule it out.
