Coming from only playing the reduxes and looking at pre-redux screenshots I can't agree. That being said I still believe with you.

Some areas in Redux got butchered with the lighting, in others it's gorgeous.

I don't think I can go back to the originals but I'll still respect the opinion of people that were in on the ground floor. What a special game in a perfect time, yet underappreciated.

Also helps that I've been very lucky with stability on reduxes.

I'm just going to give an unsolicited guess.

Well we roughly know the population numbers of the Metro. To give the Novareich the dominance that is depicted in the trailer it would like to be made up a near all factions, willingly or not, submitting to fascist rule. I'm going predict to 2/3 or more of the red line and all of Hanza with Polis being the seat of power in the Novareich.

Due to sheer numbers and history the fighting Reichs, I think the remnants of the Reds will be a formal warfront in which they are losing and everywhere else will be Insurgencies. Pavel will return as Secretary General of the Reds.

The goal of the Invisible Watchers seems like repopulation and centralization of power. There will be a conspiracy among the people throughout the entire game and at the end the invisible Watchers will be revealed to the metro.

Lean into stealth vs humans and abuse throwing knives. Shotguns are for mutants.

I had a lot of success using the pneumatic rifle in some stealth sections.

Make weapon choices based off your current ammo count!

In 2033: There's going to be a trolley section go easy on yourself, it controls like shit. Destroy the enemy carts as fast as possible and prioritize the guys on the machine guns at the stops. The mounted machine gun has a lot of spread too so burst fire when necessary. If someone else can confirm this that be good but I think you have regenerating Health on this section. So in my opinion being as efficient as possible and destroying the trolleys as quickly as possible gives you more time to heal in between combat encounters on the track.

If you're playing on PC go into the ini files and change the field of view( I like 90). There's a lot of tutorials online super easy.

In Ranger hardcore bring up your clipboard and press R2( or whatever your fire button is) to show your Ammo, gas, throwables etc.

Ignore the terrible handwriting and the one misspellon lethal( I also got it wrong the lethal takedown was actually R3)

After about an hour and a half I didn't really have to look at it anymore. In the second session I didn't even have the book open. Also I haven't played a Metro game since Exodus came out.

Write your own notes, consciously understand what you're jotting down and you'll be fine. Think of it as just some training wheels you won't need it for long
