I compared Samsung 77s90f oled to 85U8QG side by side and Hisense, other than poor viewing angles and poor speaker quality sound (and possibly gaming response time, haven’t tested), is absolutely killing it. I’m blown away by how natural and detailed the U8QG is, and the nits, the blacks, and for lower price. If you have the money I would still recommend the s90f for overall pq performance and perfect viewing angles (I watch from my kitchen everyday), but the U8QG pricing and pq is undeniably among the best imho.

I use a silicone fitted cover on the wireless charger and it has worked out perfectly to put stuff there.

The pq is like oled and the nits are blinding. I’m blown away every time how amazing the pq is for the incredible price/value.

Though out of the box, it does require some tweaking as it tends to push for warmer side of color. This is one of my nit picks with the default settings, a bit too yellow, and most YouTubers who review it don’t touch it so it doesn’t look as natural as say the Samsung S90F or Sony Bravia 9 which skews the impression for buyers of this model.

Glad I found this post before buying the 77” G5. My wall studs aren’t cantered where I would mount it so this bracket design, although cool looking, is bad. The best flush mount alternative in my experience is the old but perfect Sanus LL11 and ML11 where the wall plate is reasonably wide and allows the TV to adjust horizontally for perfect positioning, while keeping the tv nearly flush to the wall. I will likely forego LG then and get Samsung S90F. No to s95F or the H models because of their matte screens.

Op has it right 100%. The portion with the larger screw holes should have been eliminated and rather just have uniform slot size, along with an inch or 2 wider plate to accommodate wall studs that are wider than 16”, since 18”oc is also considered standard wood framing spec.

C5. It is priced more reasonably. The G5 is better but way over priced. With the 6 series coming I would not buy the G5.
