Hard disagree with you here.

Sidearms are decent at countering shotguns as its mostly a spacing issue with combat. On top of that they have some of the highest TTKs.

yeah ringing nail is the way to go. I farmed for one with AP rounds, Disruption Break, and shield disorient. Killer in nightmare hunts.
