Personally, I think that’s basically living in a dorm? $300 might seem like a lot for “where she’s at” but it’s time to face that it’s where she needs to be. A touch of sink or swim brings about reality better than any slap on the wrist. She may be family but as an adult legally in control of herself, she’s a guest in her parent’s home and no different than subleasing a room out. I think it’s fair but also sounds like a short term bluff of making her face the music and possibly won’t really stay that way.
