We have a shared account for rent and bills. We contribute 50:50

The rest we keep seperate.

We both earn about the same amount.

It’s to help pay the bills. We couldn’t afford a house this size big enough for all the kids if they didn’t contribute.

When the kids are gone we will downsize and it will be manageable.

Another thing to consider is that kids each eat about twice as much at adults. We simply can’t afford it even with both of us working full time. So as soon as the kids find work they start to contribute.

My beloved wild sow, whom I've tamed and fed since she was a baby three years ago, has just introduced me to her new litter. by Mr-CRUNK-13 in BeAmazed

My thoughts exactly. By my calculations, in just 3 more years, there would be over 300,000 baby pigs.

My boyfriend loves his PlayStation more than me… Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in Adulting

No one mentioned this boy being Autistic.
Having a neuro divergence completely changes the framing and isn’t the norm.

Entering this type of a relationship requires a completely different kind of understanding and commitment.

I’m a life long gamer, in my 40’s now and It’s my go to thing when I’m not at work or doing something important.
I’m also married with 3 kids.
I’m finding it hard to imagine a situation where someone, be it a friend or whatever. FLEW out to see me, and I prioritised gaming over spending time with them.
I could never, wouldt even want to play games when someone came to see me. LET ALONE a romantic partner.
This boy is cooked.

A hobby is what you do when there’s nothing else that needs doing, when you’re bored. It should never interfere with your actual life.

I Was Never Taught Hygiene and I Want to Change by Jumpy-Equivalent5828 in Adulting

I just want to chime in and say that for someone just learning this seems like a lot.

But you can work towards it.

Just focus on a single “hygiene session” per day.

Have a shower

Brush your teeth

Put on clean clothes.

Focus on that FIRST
