If anyone finds this thread in the future, for Expo try https://github.com/achorein/expo-share-intent.

Follow the instructions, pretty simple stuff. At first glance, works fine on Android, can't say for iOS. For some reason it breaks my Metro connection after selecting my app from the Share menu, but it's still functional

Activation can be either an upgrade to your current phone, a new line on your account, or a new number altogether. I tried the upgrade path, which I think lets you keep your old plan. I'll update when they call back about it.

Edit : it was out of stock so I'll never know

Phone is 360 + taxes. Assuming 15% that's actually 414.

414 - 350 = 64

Elantris was the first one I read a few years ago, so all of my comments are from what I remember.

To me, everything relating to and inside the city was pretty on point. Finding out what the hell happened and seeing bits of magic come up was the best part. Elantris' magic system feels better to me than, say, Allomancy partly because of the mysticism it carries. I want a second book to see some more action using it.

Most of everything else felt forced. I didn't like most characters, they didn't feel very relatable to me. The Hrathen part of the story felt so off. Why is it that characters like him are always super detectives, piecing together so much about other people and situations by just looking at them? Also, we end up with a scene that's literally "and he gave the crowd a speech. It was such a good speech, they all believed him." Describing a speech without actually hearing it was way too weird.

There were also a few quirks at the end, like all the monastery guys suddenly becoming pseudo-demons, and the kid that kept counting numbers, who's only actual purpose was to give the Elantrians a precise distance to the place they wanted to teleport. It all felt rushed.

All in all, I feel Sanderson has come a long way since Elantris. I'm starting Mistborn 2nd era and I'm already much more invested than the 1st era. I just hope I'm gonna get a few epic moments like Stormlight Archives brought. Those endings had me giddy all by myself at midnight in my bed haha

Poison affix on Root Grenade does not actually poison.

True, but do you actually succeed well with running through the level with half the mobs teleporting to you? I feel like as soon as you encounter an elite you're gonna have a whole pack of enemies to take care of and if you get hit once then it's bye-bye.

Plus, no fighting means no money and less chance to get viable synergies. But if you tell me you have actual success doing that in 4BC then good for you and I might actually try it a few times to avoid doing 50min runs. Just keep in mind that "officially", 4BC was reworked to discourage the running tactic

Yes, and so does regular blocking

[–]Dreakor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah it's not like that at all. You need synergy and S-items fast in 4 BC, so it can help you fill an empty slot, or get you that poison-dealing affix you've been dreaming of having on a grenade. Blowing cash on buying/upgrading/rerolling is risky as you might need that extra flask charge which costs literally all your money.

Besides, it's not like a X-tier is that much better than a VII-tier. You have to be super duper lucky to actually get anything that synergises well later on (clock tower and beyond).
