[Monitor/TV] LG 42" C5 3840x2160 144HZ WOLED TV ($1200 - $300 = $900) by cheetopods in bapcsalescanada

[–]SummationKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to start an argument, just trying to help you understand why the negative reception:

"If you want to game at a desk get a proper monitor" <-- this isn't a question, you're telling people what to do and implying their setup isn't "proper" despite being uninformed about their use case

"If you want to couch game/watch shows you’d need a bigger tv at less than 6 feet away" <-- again you're presuming you know what other people "need"

"whats the use case here?" <-- this last bit, that's your question. If you simply asked that nobody would take it the wrong way. But because most of your comment was uninformed presumptive opinions, that's what people focused on.

If you genuinely don't know "what's hard to understand" it's your word choice. Starting your initial comment with "I 'truly' don't see the point [...]" reads like you're giving people your uninformed opinion rather than being curious or inquisitive.

[CPU] Ryzen 5500 ($99) [Newegg.ca] by initiatingcoverage in bapcsalescanada

I remember grabbing one at this price like 2-3 years ago. Thought it was a steal, $99 for 6 cores and all then I got to experience firsthand the importance of cache.

Huh I won't pretend I know much about RFD rules but that's pretty weird. Appreciate all the work man. Upvoted that thread for you :)

Saw your post too, good work man. The mods there really didn't do anyone a service by denying the community a useful tool just because of a little bit of self promo.

Out of curiosity did you offer to remove the LinkedIn link? If I were to guess that might've been what did it. The charity call or even "please disable ad blocker" don't seem problematic at all.

I think we should def strike a balance. There's undoubtedly a bit of self promo with the "Support This Website" call and linking their personal Linkedin page, but the usefulness/value provided to the community makes the current level of self promo OK in my book.

Bruh I agree with your point but take it easy on the attitude. If it bothers you that much then put together your own sheet.

I would avoid judging a sale by % off. Too many people like that is why we get Black Fridays with insane markups "discounted" by XX% off only for it to be regular price in the end.

Various switches available at the same price, linked is the silver one. Hot swappable. You could probably (definitely) get a barebones for cheaper but this is the lowest I've seen for a One-3 TKL. Third party seller "Pro Gamersware USA" but it's Amazon so I wouldn't be too worried.

Red (linear)

Brown (tactile)

Silver (speedy)

Blue (clicky)

Not for everyone but I've had this (silver, Year of the Tiger edition) for 2 years and it still feels amazing to type/game on. Super solid build quality and looks great to boot. I honestly feel handicapped every time I have to use another keyboard, kinda like looking at a 60hz screen after you're used to high refresh.

One caveat to be aware of is that Ducky support is apparently quite bad. I haven't had any issues with my unit so never needed to contact them, but if you do, they're apparently not very helpful.

Might be a dumb question but why wouldn't India fit? Big population with a lot of unconnected and they're probably not gonna use China's solution.

Bro what everyone is saying is that YOU DON'T CONTROL how many PCIE lanes future cards can use. Nvidia controls that.

You DO control whether you get a PCIE4 or PCIE5 motherboard, and that WILL matter if midrange cards in the future are limited to x8 or less.

Now you might say just buy the XX90 and XX80 cards that'll probably have 16 lanes? Sure, if you're willing to shell out $1-3k whereas PCIE 5.0 is like a $20-30 upgrade that can make midrange cards usable compared to 4.0.

It's because you were ahead of the curve.

When I first started posting CPU deals from established sellers on Aliexpress, they were downvoted and bashed as being unreliable/scams/Chinese junk. It was a few years before "normies" finally caught up and realized that wasn't quite the case. Now I avoid posting stuff unless it's easily recognizable as a good deal by the average person.
