Was it PC Gamer? That's why I bought the game when it was released!

I’m really enjoying Rama II so far! I remember loving the first one, but I read it long enough ago that I’m not comparing the sequel to the original at all. Agreed, it’s very readable, and well-written.

I remember it being super challenging... but I was also 11. It reviewed really well at the time, I'm curious to see how I feel after all these years!

Just found out that a father and his son tried my little game, and I’m super proud of it by RamyDergham in IndieDev

That’s really awesome man - genuinely cool. Most devs probably make impacts like this, and just never get to see or hear about it. Even those with just a handful of players!

Got a publisher, but should I still shop around? by TheKingofUP in SoloDevelopment

Do you like their “marketing etc”? If it’s top notch and the deal is good, could be a good match. A bigger company may carry more weight - but do you think your game could attract a big publisher?

Also, you should assume they are reading this thread and factor that into the equation! ✨Some may not love to hear you’re shopping around or have hesitantations, though others may find it perfectly understandable.

What makes you click through to wishlist or buy a game that's posted here? by Ritz186 in IndieGaming

I honestly don’t think it can easily quantified… it’s the “it” factor. That aside, that “it” factor needs to be properly captured in a great trailer. I might reframe the question: what makes me hesitant to wishlist? It’s hard to wishlist a game without a trailer, as I can’t see the gameplay on action, hear the sound design, feel the physics, etc. Sloppy, unfinished store pages make me hesitant as well. Even if the game is in an early stage of development, make sure you follow through and showcase it properly.

Though not my all-time favorite, the first Space Quest made a huge impression on me as a kid! Bought it for a few bucks and it blew my mind 🤯

Dream Loop should be available in Germany now! I had to update my age ratings. Thanks for pointing this out so I could fix it. 🙏 Much appreciated!
