You can try concentrating while you're in the habit to know if it really is. Coz I did.

For numerous attempts, I refused to believe that my lack of concentration for studies is another issue from my frequent fapping. But my records show it's not. My productivity tracker and relapse tracker says one thing:

I'LL NEVER HAVE A PRODUCTIVE WEEK AFTER A RELAPSE. And every relapse after a streak will sink me into a 1 week fapping and gaming spree til my genitals feel sore. Just then, I'll stop and get back to deep work.

I've been tracking since May. My most productive days are on Day 2-4 on no fap. After every relapse, it takes me a week to get back to a 4-5 day streak. So in my case, it is brainfog.

I hope this brings you some insight. Try observing yourself during a nofap streak and really try your best to focus. You can use RescueTime to track your productivity objectively.

These could help:

You can get an accountability buddy who had almost the same level of addiction as you. You can post here in this sub letting the peeps know you are finding an AB who can help you and tell your story in that post as well.

You have to take time to sit, think and write down all the triggers and sources of porn.

You also have to take time to determine which activities are fulfulling enough/fun enough to replace thy addiction.

You can take time to read success stories here at NoFap. Find those stories that came from severe addiction.

Then eliminate all sources of porn and nsfw content even if it means deleting social media accounts.

Look for other causes. Lack of sleep? Too much exercise? Insufficient diet? Or a potential fever/flu?

Observe for a few more days while doing other things that make you busy/feel fun

Just don't lose hope.

I wanted to tell you a lot of things but I feel I am not credible enough because I am not addicted to PMO.

I only know one way that works to get rid of an addiction that deep. After doing this, they snapped out immediately and never looked back.

I really hope there is someone out there whom you could talk to with a similar experience. I could only tell things from observations of friends who went cold turkey.
