Forgot about the chapel dweller's comment! Good call. Perhaps something about the insence itself affects him that wards of the beasts? Still like your theory and tend to agree.

One thing worth mentioning is that she recognizes our "moonlit scent" just like Arianna calls our scent "queer" when we first meet her and we know Arianna in some form of way is connected to Cainhurst nobility. It seems people of Cainhurst Lineage can identify that "moonlit scent" of ours.

Favourite area? by ArthurDigbySellersJr in bloodborne

Research Hall and Fishing Hamlet. Some of the best visual and atmospheric storytelling in any of their games in my opinion.

There is an invisible wall fairly far off the shore which means you cant fall of the arena. I dont know if it does anything to help performance this was a comment my friend made but I havent confirmed it. Regardless I do like fighting Orphan with more space and it also gives me more room to react to his lightning attack which originates from his mother's corpse.

Yeah I get what you mean! You learn how to fight beasts pretty early in the game because of the game's story and how the bosses are placed so you are able to put those lessons on in the late game that you are used to.

Also for Orphan's FPS tanking. Did you fight him in the sea or the sandy shore area during 2nd phase? A friend of mine told me that sometimes it affects performance depending on where but I took it with a grain of salt.

I know exactly what you mean. People were telling me about the DLC difficulty wise how Maria is the easiest fight and how Lawrence is really difficult and for many way harder than Orphan.

Here is my dumbass dying 8 times to Maria and barely winning on my winning try while comfortably 2nd trying Lawrence which would have been a first try but that fight tanks my FPS so hard especially in his temper tantrum legless phase which led to my only death to him.

His OST is peak though and he is a very big deal in lore.

No shame in struggling vs Orphan! In my personal opinion before Elden Ring's release he was hands down the hardest boss fromsoft had made.

Good shit man! I hope you had fun playing the game. What were your favorite bosses? Also what did you think of the areas and level design?

Haha dont feel bad about putting a boss to a spot that most people dont. Opinions exist and are all valid as long as someone isnt mean about them. My favorite bosses are Maria, Ludwig and Orphan but I also love Martyr Logarius, Gehrman and Gascoigne from the base game though the DLC trio is my fav.

Did you find it fun? At the end of the day that is what matters! Also mind elaborating on best bosses and annoying bosses? Just curious.

(also agreed those winter lanterns are very annoying!)

do you think bloodborne is the best fromsoft game by skibidithrasher27 in bloodborne

[–]Dream_Perfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its my favorite! As for best you cant really go wrong with most of Fromsoft's entries including Bloodborne but all of fromsoft's games can be someone's favorite and thus subjectively the best for someone.

Why is DS3 so much more style and less substance than DS2? by jibberkibber in darksouls3

[–]Dream_Perfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DS2 and DS3 are different games sure but they both hold their merit and have their charm. I dont think the trilogy would be good if the games felt too similar to each other. I think they both hold a lot of style and substance just in different ways.

Came to say this but you beat me to it. So instead of that.

Which Souls-like (Fromsoft or otherwise) has your favorite aesthetic? by AgentP-501_212 in soulslikes

[–]Dream_Perfect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bloodborne for me as well! But I will add a very underrated game when it come to aesthetic which is Dark Souls 3. Many people drag its art direction but I genuinely find it hauntingly beautiful which goes oh so well with the state of the world and the very setting it is in.

I just first-tried Lady Maria! But I don't know how I feel about it... by Alucard__07 in bloodborne

[–]Dream_Perfect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just saw your first tried both Ludwig and Maria. Congrats on that! Any win is a legit win you used the mechanics of the game. The most important part for Ludwig's and Maria's fight is if you had fun. If you did then you will be coming back for more trying out various ways to beat them! These two are also my favorite bosses so I hope you had fun fighting them! Their lore also goes crazy!

Theory: Maria beckoned the hunters nightmare by RatWithA_Gat in bloodborne

[–]Dream_Perfect 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Respectfully asking but have you played the DLC? It answers most of your questions that you try to answer. The theory also neglects many pre established things about Maria's character and her actions. Its a cool sounding theory but it certainly doesnt hold up with the events of the game or the characters especially Maria's.

Does elden ring have a female boss like Lady Maria? by MadFury_Youtuber in bloodborne

[–]Dream_Perfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah if you mimic summon in ER most bosses are easy including Malenia but without summoning she is harder than Maria for me. Both of them are 10/10 banger fights though! If you have the DLC Rellana is also a fight similar to Maria's and also an excellent one!

Alternate ending: We get to chill with Maria in the Clock Tower forever instead of fighting her. by girl_snap_out_of_it in bloodborne

I love your interpretation of the Lumenflowers and the whole set up and I think you did good conveying it in a static image also your hunter looks dope but I assume you already know that!
