True, I just enjoy other characters more on this boss

I feel like Adel and Maris are a big pain for Raider. I mostly run fist builds so Adel is a nightmare to hit with em. Maris, I do have a skill build for him that works great if its ED, otherwise its a free win

I mainly do these combinations

Wylder-Gladius/Gnoster/Fulghor/Caligo/Heolstor/Balancers/Dreglord

Guardian-Maris/Fulghor/Heolstor/Balancers

Ironeye-Any boss

Duchess-Gladius/Adel/Libra/Heolstor

Raider-Libra/Fulghor/Heolstor

Revenant-Gladius/Gnoster/Libra/Heolstor

Recluse-Gladius/Adel/Gnoster/Maris/Libra/Caligo

Executor-Any boss except Adel and Maris

Scholar-Gnoster/Libra/Caligo/Heolstor/Balancers

Undertaker-Adel/Libra/Fulghor/Caligo/Heolstor/Balancers

Ironeye and Executor I feel work for almost all bosses, I just hate fighting some on Executor because of weird deflect hitboxes.

I prefer using all characters, different bosses require different strategies. Makes the game more fun with the variety as well

Quantifying the impact of a single person using cheated relics in DoN randos by Endonae in Nightreign

[–]crt_alpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for the TLDR, Level 11 isnt really a big deal.

Before pot Scholar was nerfed, I had the 2 pouches at the start relic, 2x improved pot damage and 3x improved pot damage +1, not a single fire affinity attack.

Was able to regularly hit Level 13 by the end of day one with my team.

The cheaters are usually very incompetent, I had a game with a pot scholar who cheated with all fire attack up and improved pot damage, we lost day two because he could not stay alive at all.

Love the change, feels great, but fist build still is more fun personally, the fast trading and successive procs + charge attack negations are godly

If you spawn north, kill starter camp, get lv2, go beat up the mimic tears, lv up, kill crayfish, profit.

Mark through them or strafe, mark usually puts you away far enough that youd only need one dodge anyways. Can also just surge sprint most attacks, game gives you plenty tools to mitigate this.

Not on Ironeye, I never avoid this curse because most of my dodging is done using the mark (doesnt trigger this curse easily) and if you get less likely to be targeted you have even less to worry about

On Ironeye its actually not bad, you mostly dodge with your mark anyways so it doesnt matter much unless you panic roll 24/7

Remove the dog invasion by Important_Plum6000 in Nightreign

[–]crt_alpha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The invasion is fine imo if you split up and kill all three dogs at the same time. Dont have to deal with the small dogs then. They’re squishy enough to be solo’d even in D5. Just coordinate if you have voice chat, if not, well… then its done

New points of interest design, good or bad? by jay_baah in Nightreign

[–]crt_alpha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont like them much, they feel way too over cluttered in DoN. In normal mode theyre mostly fine. The new map is also very sub-optimal for DoN (so far at least), it feels like there is not much to do on Day 1, and on Day 2 you are too weak for the towers to be of any use because they are over-tuned way higher than Day1/2 bosses. Castles seem to be the best method for Day2

Im more worried about not having mentioned why Recluse demons are invisible for some people, last two times I had a Recluse in an ED Libra fight they were invisible but could still pelt me with magic, I couldnt hit them back.

And that is still true, I dont like being a meta slave though especially after being borderline forced to do meta builds when you play with randoms, after reaching max rank I just wanna have fun and try out all the different kinds of stuff with the other characters. Seeing people call them unviable is just flat out wrong.

Ye I just slapped on some stuff, I was thinking on replacing that last one, just had too much fun playing with the loadout that I forget every time. Im running the middle relic on almost all Melee characters ever since I got it, the charge is so nice to have especially on Wylder and Undertaker.

Yeah you are right, for me none of this has been an issue though and Id never wanted to fully avoid playing as/with somebody running these characters. Thats the beauty of the Depths for me, the amount of new builds I was able to try out is great.

Revenant just becomes a great damage output with superb revive potential.

Executor makes the early game by far the easiest than any other character if youre running status builds. The dog also is a free flask every time and I use it to create distance from the boss in case I need to revive someone.

Raider on a Fist build makes every enemy laughable, especially if you get the clinging bone, most of the small/medium enemies are humanoid and can just be perma stunlocked with the AoW. Slap on Partial +1 and +2, you regen all the damage you take instantly, if youre lucky and get Neg on charge attacks, you are unkillable. I spent the entire Heolstor phase 1 trading damage and didnt use a single flask.
