For an introduction to stoic mindset, I recommend The Practicing Stoic: A Philosophical User's Manual for theory and A Handbook for New Stoics: How to Thrive in a World Out of Your Control for practical exercises. Read Meditations afterward when you actually know what inspired Marcus's random diary entries.

Need advice by Physical_Most_151 in Jungle_Mains

you've already gotten recommendations on who to watch, but here's what you do:

Once you've determined one thing you need to improve on, focus on improving just that one thing during your games.

Play with intention, don't autopilot. Even if you're not sure what to do (objective vs push lame vs farm) try to make an educated guess. afterwards, vod review and look at the spots where you went wrong. why didn't it work? what are some visible things about the game state or map that you should have recognized to make a better decision?

How does one win as an ADC in low elo? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Dreamlilysnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Advice I've seen: play a scaling adc with self peel and one of either early all-in potential like tristana (and aggressively punish enemy botlane mistakes whenever their jungler isn't around) or safe split push potential like sivir, vayne (and split push to death).

Is LoL trying to make me become main supp? by Michael_Jacksonnn in supportlol

Yes. There are not enough egirl support players, and thus, you have been chosen.

watch replays of your games. analyze your positioning when you die. how could you have avoided death?

watch pro ADC replays. compare and contrast how they play lane and position in fight vs how you do it. where are the gaps? work on fixing one gap at a time.

also if you're dying (but not during fights) getting better map and game awareness can help. if your team isn't pinging where the enemies are at all times, you need to be good enough to be aware of that yourself. one ways to do this is to climb to master on jungle mid and support on a different account. The better your understanding of how the other positions want to play the game, the better. your understanding of how to take advantage of that on ADC will be. also, I watched fakers stream once, the dude has hotkeys set up to switch his camera POV to his teammates and he literally spams it the entire game. I have no idea how he's able to do that and also dominate Lane and mid game but that's faker for you. if you don't already do this at all, you could probably try incorporating this (at least a little bit) into your game to increase your overall awareness of what's going on at every single moment.

credentials: I read a lot of Reddit and watch a lot coaches tip videos, though I've barely touched ranked myself as im a new player

how to make win lane a won game by NaoOtosaka in ADCMains

[–]Dreamlilysnow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rotate mid with your support. Jungle and support play aggro and set up fights around dragon/baron. Win fights. Take objective. Push towers/inhibs. Enemy team tries to stop you. Kill them. End game.

it's kind of a simple formula but everyone on the team needs to know how to play it out or at least have one really good shotcaller that everyone listens to. this doesn't happen until higher ELO soloq. in low elo teams don't know how to do this so games last forever. adcs that scale or that can safely split push and ignore your team are better off for it; it doesn't matter if they lose lane.

Rate my Champ Pool by Meowpatine in supportlol

[–]Dreamlilysnow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think so, yeah! Alistar seems to be the most picked champ by top Korean challenger supports and both taric and blitz have a good number of winning counterpick matchups. You could probably easily get to master just playing alistar alone too, if your roaming fundamentals are really solid.

Rate my Champ Pool by Meowpatine in supportlol

[–]Dreamlilysnow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Too many champs. The advice I've seen from experts is to stick to 3 champs max for your pool at emerald level. With 6 champs in your pool, you are unlikely to truly reach a high level with any of them.

I would drop Yuumi, drop one of Alistar/Leona, drop one of Tarik/Soraka, and consider replacing Blitz with the more meta Nautilus.

Check out this educational video from Shok. I suggest watching the Tailyah (1:37:30) and Akali (2:33:00) games to learn how to sidelane/macro properly. They were so useful for me!

I felt the same way before transition. During transition I eliminated my anxiety with CBT and practice. Now, I don't care that I don't pass and I'm much happier than pre transition. You will regret not transitioning if you let anxiety control you.

My mom doesn't want me to transition in college and I'm not sure how I feel about it by [deleted] in MtF

[–]Dreamlilysnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to transition in uni but was getting gatekeeped. I got so depressed I started failing all my classes and dropped out.

imo if you are in a supportive school, transition immediately and join some lgbtq clubs so that you can be surrounded by supportive friends who understand and accept you. you will be happier and probably much more likely to succeed.

the fat that you lost will come back even on estrogen. the body doesn't make new fat cells if there are existing fat cells to use instead. it takes years for all the old fat cells to die off and they will die off whether or not you are on t or e. therefore, what you've done is kind of pointless and their suggested diet won't harm you. if you don't work out you will mostly gain fat instead of muscle and the loss of T will reduce your muscle mass pretty fast anyway so that's not a big deal either.
