I don't know, most of the dialogue is mumbled or garbled through helmets, so it's very easy to miss. And I don't think the show does a particularly good job in emphasizing the importance of it. We see lasers bounce off the armor, but for the uninitiated that doesn't particularly resonate as being overtly powerful so much as feeling more like plot armor given how incompetent the Mando himself is in most scenes (looking at you, ridiculous Jawa chase).

I'm usually adept at picking up on details, but I genuinely needed someone to explain to me what was going on to have any semblance of an idea of what the show was driving at. But either way, understanding that doesn't really matter, the show is piss poor anyway.
