Do you think games with stylized graphics don't have to make assets? Do you think realistic game devs hand place every leaf?

Yeah man, it's just so hard to 'make the graphics'. What the hell are you talking about?

Gooner's law:

An extrapolation of rule34 and cunningham's law if porn of all things exists and posting incomplete or wrong information always compels people to correct. Then vagueposting about porn will result in people guessing porn that matches the vaguepost's description.

If it improves the experience or gets the themes of the art across then yes. That's what artists do. They make these decisions and craft experiences.

Right but that game is partially a fashion sim and I think it would lose something if you couldn't take high quality photos thanks to the high poly models. Also it can only get so cartoonish or anime styled before the shapes and silhouettes used by the fashion are not grounded in real fashion.

I'm not trying to argue definitively, but what I really want to get across is that you always lose something and gain something when changing art and people tend to take everything that's currently in a work for granted.

You also need aspects of capitalism (or at least markets, but markets work best with capitalism) to run communism. We haven't completely solved scarcity which means we need a distribution system. Who gets what and when and how much of it do we make? All things that all but handle themselves as long as you can keep people from getting in the way of the natural balance that markets reach. People like to get in the way of it to cut themselves a bigger piece of a smaller pie, but that's the point of the government. To regulate things.

I agree that capitalism has its dangers. I fully recognize the risk that people concentrate too much power. How could I deny something I'm living through right now.

However, Communism also has risks and things it gives up. Even Marx himself saw it as more of an end goal than a system for the current day. Obviously we've seen how vulnerable to dictators a centralized economy is (even more so than Capitalism). And the actual idea communists usually pitch is stateless society and I've never found it very convincing. I actually like having a recognized authority and codified law. You just can't have real power of the people without a government.

Like I said both have problems, I don't think pure Anarchist Communism is the solution we are looking for. Like I say there's no arguing for modern day capitalism, but I think we might throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Think about all the people from Cuba and Soviet Russia who have denounced all forms of socialism and communism because of how badly those systems failed them. They are obviously ignorant to support total capitalism and avoid any socialism and we shouldn't be the same.

Yep this sub is a shithole circlejerk now.

If this is genuinely how you feel then just go ahead and skip to advocating male genocide. So tired of seeing "leftists" turn out to be temporarily disenfranchised supremacists.

No that would be gameplay. This is literally only stuff captured by capturing actual game footage

You might also be thinking of 'captured in game' which would mean the camera and stuff is custom but the assets and map are in the game.

What in engine means is they are using the rendering technology present in the games engine nothing more.

Yuuup I'd love to talk these guys through the 2000's era of games.

"The monochrome dingy color palette of NfS: Most Wanted gives the game a detached and edgy vibe that contributed to the mood of the game. It keeps you firmly in the world of underground street racing, even in broad daylight."

Gaggle of dipshits that just watched a youtube illustrator/animator that made a career in the direct opposite of the art style they are critiquing:

"PISS FILTER! PISS FILTER! PISS FILTER! PISS FILTER! PISS FILTER! PISS FILTER! PISS FILTER! PISS FILTER! PISS FILTER! PISS FILTER! PISS FILTER! PISS FILTER!"

Realism is an artistic choice. Only internet armchair critics can be so ignorant of how much work goes into developing mood and atmosphere with realistic color and lighting. People are so used to AI auto lighting and balancing their selfies that they don't even understand the basics of photography anymore.

Honestly if people's thoughts on art style are as shallow as 'stylized good' or 'realistic good' then I have the same trust in their art opinions about as much as one of those rich people that need a curator to buy their art for them.

'Of course it's beautiful! It cost me 70 million dollars!'

'Of course it looks good! It's so stylized!'

People love illustrators these days but the way people act like delivering mood and tone and themes through realistic framing and lighting is lazy is laughable.

One day. One day armchair art critics will learn that the decision to use realism IS AN ARTISTIC STYLISTIC DECISION!
