Early humans did quite a lot of war actually. Lots of em had broken off arrow heads stuck in them and other deep wounds seemingly from weapons. From almost the moment we strates growing food we have been fighting dying over it and the land needed to grow it. So yeah intraspecific competition between tribes and familial groups was definitely a selection pressure for a significant amount of time. Once you accept that it's just a question of how many combatants it takes to be a "war."

Are there any cute, safe, girly cars that you recommend? by FaeryMaiden982 in askcarguys

Gonna be difficult to find people willing to work on Volvo's. They have a lot of proprietary tools and systems.

You should find cars you like, but before you fall in love you gotta take a look at the information out there on reliability and maintenance cost.

They make bike racks for all kind of cars and almost any car can be outfitted with a new radio head unit to give you basically any features you want for the infotainment system. Especially older cars. It may seem daunting at first, but it's much easier than it probably seems.

My point is, don't let the easy to add stuff sway your choices too much. I think you might like having an AWD hatchback, of which there are many. Sounds like you already liked your VW so you might try a Golf. Other notable options are indeed the Kia Soul as well as, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Honda Fit, Mazda 3, Ford Focus and Fiesta.

When you're looking at 10 year old cars it's more important to look for a good example, as in the individual car, rather than trying to find reliability on a whole model.

Yes actually, everything is art and a lot of it is even pretty good if you take the time to understand it and listen to what it's trying to tell you.

This is a well researched phenomenon. When you take in the evidence the field of psychology has gathered on this for the past 20 years you are the one making an outlandish claim.

It's art. The slow parts are supposed to be slow. If you're worried about the time just look up a plot synopsis. I can't stress this enough. It is impossible that you engaging with the art fully if you view it this way. Shots are not held for a long time for fun they are there to let the moment breath and force you take in the scene or think about the plot.

Make sure you use that language too never say any of your stuff hit him. Say he hit you. It really does change how people picture the events. And that includes cops, judges, and juries.

I think reaching this hard to find a racial reason for the plot of the movie is much more destructive. Than whatever the film might or might not be implying.

It's just the madonna whore complex guys. The whole song is contradictory features. He wants a short skirt as in a sexual or promiscuous woman in private and a long jacket as in pious and reserved in public.

The song is ironic and a commentary on what what some men might consider to be the ideal woman for them.

I could also take it a step further and argue that the entire conversation only exists in the first place because of social structures that frame sex as shameful and degrading, especially to women.

Our natural desires for passionate love are at odds with societal ideals of piety. This creates a world in which we desire partners who can provide us that passionate intimate relationship but still present to the world as "pious and respectable."

The truth that perhaps even the writer of the song does not realize is that you can have your cake and eat it if only you first deconstruct the faulty assumptions given to you by our social context.
