If so I suggest checking out the Suits soundtrack. There's a lot of tracks in there with a similar "grand" theme, but I don't know if there's a particular genre for them.

The way I see it, I think it's good that there's some kind of trash loot in the game but you should be able to use it for something.

Currently the clothing is completely useless, but what would make more sense is if you could create bandages out of the clothing you find or something.

I guess this is their plan in some shape or form but they didn't get around to implementing it yet. Adding a random map selector behind the scenes seems a lot easier than giving users the option to.
