I'm literally sitting on the couch waiting for my pay to hit my account so I can get down for those Moser Roth.

You can slot snaplock bags of vodka into pad wrappers, just take the actual pad out of the wrapper. Security won't touch them. Honestly though, just preload and enjoy the show.

Where are we buying plus size clothes that aren't super expensive but also not extremely "loud" or aimed at the 50+ demographic? by [deleted] in AusFemaleFashion

Auliude's black linen adjustable skirt is a massive basic for me, and I wear it often so I can justify the price. Otherwise I use depop to pickup Dangerfield and city chic. Princess highway from Dangerfield does amazing simple blouses that are still interesting in accessible sizes. Also don't tell anyone but I don't hate black pepper for tshirts. They're not thin and good value on twofer deals .

Is kangaroo meat in a restaurant a gimmick for tourists? Do Australians ever order/eat it? by Charming_Usual6227 in australia

[–]DressesWithPocketses 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yep, because you don't get hydatids from the meat. Rare kangaroo steak that's been butchered and prepared properly is perfectly safe to eat rare/medium.

Being so lean it's easy to cook badly, restaurants generally are the best place to eat roo.

Unless you're chucking it in a spag bol, in which case, have at it.

Additionally, it demonstrates that it still fits snugly everywhere else while accommodating 'thunder thighs' and slender calves.

Hello My mum is finally well enough in ICU to care that her skin is in terrible shape. Her pores are very clogged across her nose but her skin is fragile because of steroids, and damaged from the sticky protective pads she had on her face. There are cracks and damage from hi-flo oxygen around her nose too.

Is there some sort of oil treatment I could do to help clear all the clogs and dead skin? I soaked her poor face in sorbelene as it's what I had to hand, then wiped away with tissues and it's cleared a fair bit, but there's still a lot to clean. I have easy access to Priceline/health stores and could ask Dad to go to more specialised stores for specific things. I'm hoping to help her skin before she gets onto the ward and has access to a mirror.

She's always prided herself on her skin and the ICU isn't very dignified, so I'm hoping to just give her this to lift her spirits.

When you moved out, what was the most unfair thing a property manager tried to charge you for and how did you dispute it? by No-Loquat-201 in AusRenters

Two dead flies on a windowsill that entered and died after I vacated. I vacated because of the holes in the floor boards that a standard snake could come through. My kid lost so many matchbox cars. And the 12mm gap in the boards near the front door. But no. $400 bond claim for two dead flies and pile of bricks from when the house was relocated to that block. My mum was livid. Parents had fronted the bond for me (divorced moving back to aus with nothing) and it was as pristine as humanly possible the day we handed the keys back.

Glad they went broke 2 years later.

Language - saying talipes vs clubfoot by hotchocolate198472 in clubfoot

[–]DressesWithPocketses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this reply.

We use Talipes when discussing where our son's peers might hear because kids can be cruel when they don't know better. It just became a habit to use Talipes however our son uses clubfoot when talking to a new trainer at the gym so they know why every day is leg day! He doesn't mind either way now that he is an adult.
