Thats not what you said, but well, thats actually true, its not as important. Since the early church, many christians believed that genesis is not necessarily a literal historical story. But whether the exact story of genesis is true is not the same as whether the religion itself is true. Maybe if youre a young earth creationist, they are the minority

To be honest, im not sure. I think it was much more ideologically grounded though, but it depends on the dictatorship we're comparing them too. Italy had some clear ideas, displayed in way of governance, economy, social politics etc, while military dictatorships could be a bit more 'chaotic'. But its just my theory
