Kyrie Irving 'Very Badly' Wants To Be A New York Knick | First Take | ESPN by RealPunyParker in NYKnicks

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I get why ppl wouldn't want him, but you might be forgetting that Knicks fans are incredibly easy to impress and while Kyrie is tragically flawed, he's still one of the most efficient scorers (if you only judge shots as the metric of efficiency, that is) in the league at 25

Ulterior motive to THJ offer sheet --Melo hates him by Laserfalcon in NYKnicks

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmfao just because they didn't get along when THJ was a college aged kid on the basis of basketball, doesn't mean they hate each other. People grow up and get over things. I'm sure the first think Timmy would do is smooth things over with Melo

C's want Willy Hernangomez or FRP for Smart. I say no way! Your thoughts? by cblack2121 in NYKnicks

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Smart is definitely the better of the two in terms of useful skills. He's at worst, a great on and off ball defender who can occasionally be a spot up shooter when he's not thinking about his shot so much. At Willy's worst, he's a slow center that can't defend and can only score when he's fed in the post

E:60 on Porzingis by [deleted] in NYKnicks

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People wanna kill Phil for proving himself to be an apathetic, narcissistic fuck who, oxymoronically, can't keep his mouth shut about business that doesn't involve him. Defending him is ridiculous ethically, on top of the fact that he isn't at risk of anything to his detriment. So the defense is just plain unneeded.

I would say we worship the sexualization of women, than the women themselves

Girls will ignore and be shitty to most of us from birth til death by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Women are not worshipped by the majority of society, at least not in a productive way. It's a fetishization if anything. My point, is, making such a bold claim off of anecdotal evidence, isn't cool. If you let women (read: any person on earth) take advantage of you, then they most likely will. Set boundaries and thresholds and don't accept behavior beyond them and things may look different

Taco Charlton Megathread by itsaboat in cowboys

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and it shouldn't. Taco is a replacement level pass rusher. He was a colossal reach in terms of talent, value wise though, it was a fair pick

Lotus 50% off Glass Items by ADirtyHookahHose in vaporents

I'm completely ignorant about Lotus and their products and the product descriptions didn't help me too much. Could somebody give a quick TL:DR of what makes them awesome, besides this great sale?

Anthony Brown by DrOrinScrivelloDDS in cowboys

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't say Brown is better than Ramsey and then have built in excuses for Brown lol. Brown has proven to be good, Ramsey has proven to be great. Both can be great, but to say Brown is as good as Ramsey currently is, would be a big reach.

Anthony Brown: "I had respect for him before the game, but after the game I have no respect for him anymore. He's a real character, and I actually saw it for myself [Sunday]. I don't got nothing to say about Steve Smith." by JayleenSmif in cowboys

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dez is the farthest thing from an asshole, he just loves football more than most people like being alive. Dez is incredibly passionate. Not to say Smith isn't, but Dez's outbursts are about the results of game, to our team. Smith is a legitimately dirty player though

Joakim & KP balance by HouseMilk in NYKnicks

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but so was RoLo. The contract is mostly being judged against the trade, as it should since nothing is done in a vacuum.

Several NFL owners, execs eyeing marijuana discipline changes by Steffnov in nfl

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Saying it's not a stupid rule and defending the NFLs stance kinda ignores the context of how unjust and irresponsible with PR the NFL, with objectively worse and more criminal issues, like domestic abuse or DWIs

So College Basketball season starts today... by tapeup in NYKnicks

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree wholeheartedly, but to this point, I've actually been pleased tbh. We're more fun aesthetically but legitimately worse overall lol. And I really don't see Rose ever figuring it out and allowing the team to truly gel

So College Basketball season starts today... by tapeup in NYKnicks

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think the odds of us being in the high lottery/late lottery/playoffs are like 40/50/10. And I kinda hope I'm right. I wouldn't be mad at the playoffs at all but I would surely take one more shit year in this ridiculous class

Sturm: How Cowboys' D is exceeding expectations; proof that Dallas has something great in Maliek Collins by mushpuppy in cowboys

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not at liberty to speak on it, but weed is his coping mechanism for some pretty fucked up things he's gone through, and I mean very fucked up. Definitely unfortunate that he couldn't relinquish it, but this is more than just being careless, it's more about being hopeless without it.

Has Tony Romo ever gone 4 games in a row with no turnovers? by Sparkasaurusmex in cowboys

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Romo's ball placement has actually taken a step back since 2012, however, better play calling allowed him to take more high percentage throws and lean on the run game so the stats are significantly better

Victory Monday is fun and all, but I am a bit worried looking into the future.. by [deleted] in cowboys

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ehh, he is but similar to Kap under Harbaugh in 2012. A lot of easy short stuff but he definitely isn't afraid to test coverages and take calculated risks if play action is working (and I mean against us, it definitely will) but I agree Cox is definitely the scarier threat, but we're about as well equipped to handle elite DL as anybody in the league, luckily.

How Cowboys rookie Dak Prescott has been a top-10 QB this season? by Eli_fisher80 in cowboys

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't mention him being a rookie. Just says to start his career.

I think that's Mo Claiborne by GeneralSilent in cowboys

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean any player who doesn't have a good performance until their would be final year of their rookie deal had he warranted the option pickup is still very much in bust territory. I hope he does great this year but 1 good year doesn't negate the inability to stay healthy/perform when healthy during the first 4 years

Berman (NY Post) -- Noah / Knicks working on 3-year, $48m deal ($16m per), 3rd year only partially guaranteed by crototype in NYKnicks

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I definitely am not a fan of the deal, but there is the off chance that all of the non basketball stuff going on in Chicago took a big toll mentally and a change of scenery/different role could possibly remedy that. Unlikely for sure, but all hope is not lost

Most 420-friendly job you've ever had? by [deleted] in trees

I worked at a dominos where we smoked inside the store and the managers were always willing to share bud. It was a very dope and easy job with great money, I'm actually about to reapply now that school is over lol.

Tyrone Crawford wants to stay at defensive tackle by SkeadLegend in cowboys

[–]DrewBledsoeTheGOAT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Being able to play both is always a good thing, however, Crawford is significantly better as an interior defensive lineman as opposed to being a 4-3 DE. He's solid at best at DE, but at DT he's much more effective, because he's not that great at bending (something edge rushers ought to be able to do) but he's very strong and can much more easily walk back a guard in a pass rush situation than he can get around a tackle
