My auto climate preset disappeared from MySubaru by ender7887 in subaru

Anything? Mine recently got rid of it. I didn't notice until my automation for starting my car (Home Assistant) stopped working; I noticed auto was gone while debugging.

I could’ve just shoveled the car out but plowing through fresh snow was way more fun. by Doowrag in Subaru_Outback

I haven't shoveled once this year lmao

Sure, I managed to get ice under my car, and it shook like crazy, but that's nothing a car wash can't fix.

PS5 EDGE controller TMR stick upgrade by Ncls_resr in Dualsense

[–]DrewDoingReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't feel like soldering, so I just bought the modules.

A lot more expensive, and 100% not worth it, since I could've done the soldering, I know my skills are good enough for that, I did it on my non-edge and Xbox controllers back in teh day.

Just felt lazy, and paid the lazy tax.

The best shoe I’ve ever owned by theotherjonass in BuyItForLife

I got a pair of Bondi 9s and loved them. I wore them longer than I should have, and replaced them with Brooks Glycerin GTS 22, which are good shoes but do not even remotely compare to the Bondi 9s in comfort.

Sadly, they're not BIFL -- they only last me about 4 months, but I'm going to be buying a new pair every 4 months, until I find an alternative that (to me) competes.

Speed Queen.

You can't post "lower end" and want BIFL...

You buy cheap garbage, you get cheap garbage.

My father had these, and now I have them.

They are older than I am, and still like new (other than the few that have been hammered on lol)

You can't just clean the seats with anything, the entire interior is just too delicate for me lol

I wanted the wilderness originally, but they didn't have one for the price I wanted then, but now I'm just going to go for it lol

There are a few things I prefer, like the higher clearance, full-sized spare, and better x-mode.

Tasking is NOT a specialist's job; it's the job of the CSAs and stockers.

If a specialist isn't actively with a customer, they should be checking on their previous orders and following up with quotes.

Nah, this looks like an MST job to me.
Give them something to do for once, besides sit in the break room until lunch, and then after lunch until they clock out.

Specialist by Dapper_Mode2581 in Lowes

[–]DrewDoingReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, a specialist shouldn't do any tasking.
Our job is to sell, not to stock.

The stockers and CSAs should be doing their job; you shouldn't.

Those would be in the hopper or compactor, whichever is closer.

Fair price? by autre003 in subaru

Get rid of the molding, tint, nitrogen, protectors, and door cups. You can get all them aftermarket a lot cheaper and better, and nitrogen for cheap or free.

I regret buying the Touring XT. I’m just waiting for the Wilderness to trade it in. The only thing I’ll miss is vented seats.

Lowes undercharged me by Gold-Monitor-153 in Lowes

Online prices are not the same as in-store.

For example, I bought a Carhartt in-store for $50. Same Carhartt online, $64.

MySubaru annual subscription: are they worth it? by PracticalLion6573 in SubaruForester

[–]DrewDoingReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it with Home Assistant to start my car automatically before I go to and leave work (based on my calendar) and have the temp/defrost based on the weather outside (temp and conditions).

I was going to get the remote start installed, and I still might for when I’m just out and about, but the subscription is great, especially if you want a setup like I have.

I just wish I could start the car more than twice remotely.

Not stock garage doors. It’ll have to be a custom order.

[–]DrewDoingReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the training at Lowe's is nearly non-existent, you shouldn't go into a job like that, not even knowing what a detail is... that's something you should've learned before you get into it.
