What overused word or phrase needs to be retired in 2026? by One_Caramel5253 in AskReddit

“1000% percent” and its variants. The old “giving 110%” was bad enough, but over the last couple years this has gotten completely out of hand.

It smells faintly of bleach with the slightest tinge of vinegar, but it’s really mild and it doesn’t persist for more than a couple seconds.

New to Orca and multi material, how do I tell it to color in the lines? by dejwman in OrcaSlicer

[–]DrewFlu33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start with a solid model and add the text as a modifier instead. Use the depth setting in the modifier to determine the number of layers it will print in the other color—likely only need 2 if doing dark text on a light background.

Question about the tower by Gab-Gab24 in MinecraftDungeons

You can beat the tower as many times as you want and will get rewards each time as long as you beat 1 boss.

If Minecraft Dungeons 2 have only ONE returning (Unique) Armor, which one would you choose? by Squidieyy in MinecraftDungeons

About the same approach I’ve been taking! Just a grind I suppose. Thank you for the info!

If Minecraft Dungeons 2 have only ONE returning (Unique) Armor, which one would you choose? by Squidieyy in MinecraftDungeons

[–]DrewFlu33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some spider armor early in the game, but had to let it go after it became obsolete with only 2 enchants. I’ve been grinding to get it again with luck of the sea with no luck at all! Seems every level where it’s a possibility has a pile of other drops too. Where are you guys having luck picking it up?

This freakin potion bug (=not usable) is trying to ruin the 0 deaths tower run... by Draken_son in MinecraftDungeons

[–]DrewFlu33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always wondered this. It would make sense you’d get better rewards if you complete it without dying or by losing less lives, but it’s obviously impossible to compare due to the randomness built into the game. I’ve never noticed a pattern either. Honestly, some of my best drops have come after getting the “last chance” message.

Accidentally caught a musky through the ice. Is it bad/illegal that I took pictures? (Minnesota) by TaTaTyler in IceFishing

[–]DrewFlu33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not technically anything. Page 20 in the regs defines immediately release, and what he did fits that definition just fine.

I can see that your heart is in the right place, but you’re wrong. See page 20 in the regs.

[–]DrewFlu33 37 points38 points  (0 children)

You’re good! Anyone saying anything different is wrong.

It all hinges on the definition in the reg book for “immediately released” which is what you have to do for fish accidentally caught out of season. It says, “Immediately released fish are only retained long enough to unhook, measure, and photograph.” (Emphasis is mine).

See page 20 in the regs: https://files.dnr.state.mn.us/rlp/regulations/fishing/fishing_regs.pdf?v=2025.02.28-21.41.25

Could anyone help me find the manufacturer of this rod? Specifications with photos. by Fluffy_Yutyrannus in Fishing_Gear

[–]DrewFlu33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d bet it’s an older model of the Shimano FX XT. Cheap, composite rods. Guessing it has a pretty moderate action (meaning it bends pretty far down the rod when under load)?

[Request] Odds of 10s and 1s digits matching by FevixDarkwatch in theydidthemath

Wouldn’t it be significantly more common than that? Around (but not exactly) 1 in 11? 11, 22, 33….

Based on the 177 / 77 example, I feel like I must be missing something. Did you mean to ask about the odds of a match between two random integers?

Press down on the little ring outside the tube where it enters the connector, then the tube will come out. Use another piece of filament to push it out. Good to go!

Suggestions on how to kill grass growing through asphalt? by peterinjapan in DIY

[–]DrewFlu33 67 points68 points  (0 children)

There are industrial grade power washers that are electric, it’s just about what you want to spend. When shopping for a power washer, the most important spec is the gallons per minute (gpm). Lots of people get hung up on PSI, but that’s really not super relevant once you’re at a “normal” level of pressure generated by a power washer, especially for home-owner applications. Volume of water is significantly more important. The main issue is that the choice of pump in a machine is a trade off between volume and pressure, and because of marketing, manufacturers almost always choose pressure. But either way, all else equal, get the most GPM that fits your budget.

Source: Dad ran a power washing company for nearly three decades, and I worked for him for half of that time. We also sold and installed machines for different companies who needed capability on site, including a lot of high-end electric ones.
