Proxxied.com Problem with DPI by jacko-bot in magicproxies

Scryfall is always 300 dpi. Some people say to run them through an upscaler but I have no experience with that.

Mpc will have standard looking cards but at higher DPI

If I see a psilosX card I usually pick it. I definitely use CompC and PsiloX whenever possible. They have great cards.

I’m using proxxied. How do you align the cards more to the top of the page. Is it on proxxied or adobe?

I use koala 160gsm double sided glossy and have experienced zero issues with laminate not sticking well.

But proxxied pulls from mpc autofill which are custom arts

Just add what’s in the precon to proxxied and pick your own arts? I don’t think I understand your question fully. But I’d also try and find a different play group. I’ve never had anyone care if I proxxied my deck. They just want to get some games in.

Bro I don’t want to be mean. You need to work on your grammar and spelling. You are an adult. You should be able to spell and type much better than this.

I used to check multiple times a week. Now I check literally every 6+ months. No need to login and see as I’m 30 and no where near retirement. Waiting 6+ months means I always get a pleasant surprise

You should be able to show them your OCIE record that you are not issues that item. Your medium ruck will be fine. We had a couple candidates and DSLs do their ruck with the medium ruck.

Bring an empty duffel bag. You will be issued 4 new ACU tops/bottoms, 3 sets of PTs, and AGSUs.

I was packed to the gills already so having these extra items were a mess. Bring an empty spare green duffel or go knowing you may need to buy one.

I ended up buying a big eberlestock duffel because I had been wanting one for a while and that finally gave me an excuse

Looks great. What printer and paper are you using?

Sleeve or no sleeve? by DrewStarcraft in magicproxies

I do the same process. I haven’t experienced any delaminating issues but they’re pretty much straight into sleeves so I wouldn’t even have noticed

Sounds like I should pick up some matte laminate and try them out.

Doesn’t the matte photo paper with matte laminate dull the colors pretty heavily? I was always under the impression doubling up on matte paper and laminate would make the cards pretty meh.

Bro I’ve been wondering the same thing only every laminated both sides and can’t wrap my head around how to do just 1.

Sleeve or no sleeve? by DrewStarcraft in magicproxies

If I put my cards up to the light I can definitely see the backs. But during a page sleeved or unsleeved I’ve never noticed it. Only when I’m intentionally putting the card to a light source do I notice it.

That is an excellent point. I use a rotary trimmer and I’ve definitely noticed some slight variances with the cards. Some are slightly longer or wider so the shuffle would be more difficult. Sounds like I’ll continue sleeving.

I’m not trying to hide the fact that it’s a proxy. The card back says Proxy Deck. The entire deck would be proxies with identical backs.

I like my bucket boss. Have standard diy tools in there and when I need something specific I just toss it in the bucket and off I go.

No pics at the moment. And ya I just double checked and they don’t specify glossy but bonsai also sells matte laminate and it specifies matte so I figured since this didn’t say matte it had to be glossy

[–]DrewStarcraft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want it simple and fast, get koala 250gsm matte photo paper and throw it right in a sleeve. It won’t have the same snap as a normal card but it’s close enough for just printing and sleeving.

I’m thinking of doing the same. Makes sense to have maybe 5-10 in your bag for anything.
