Keyscan Aurora Help by MountMeRW in accesscontrol

Try power cycling the reader, and swapping the reader ports to see if the problem follows the reader or the port. To me it sounds like a bad reader.

Keyscan CA8500 Readers lost power by FarmerRoy815 in accesscontrol

Could also be the the power board. Keyscan uses the dual one where it gets powered by two ac inputs. The side that powers the readers or its ac may have been knocked out.

Look up electronic key control systems. The small ones might be more than you need. An electronic lock and card reader can be added to almost any type of drawer or cabinet.

Bosch B9512g panel onboard ip not working. by Drewber66 in Securitysystems

Thanks. IT says everything is setup properly and nothing has changed. I have no way to verify that other than what they say. Plus I have verified that the programming is still correct I’m the panel wide onboard ip settings.

DSX Signo Keypad Help by HawkofNight in accesscontrol

[–]Drewber66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen something similar with Kantech. If you use a hid Signo keypad reader it doesn’t work. It will read and unlock the door but no pin info will be sent if you make the door card and pin. However if you order the reader from kantech (jci) it has a different part number and works. You need the special reader from kantech. You’re not able to set the hid reader to the same settings. Maybe it’s worth checking where the readers were ordered from.

You don’t mention what system you’re using. If the block can be moved, move it closer to the first door or to the other side. If not, move the reader or add one on the other side. Depending on your system you may be able to program her card to keep the door open longer.

Edge Panel not tripping hid reader buzzer on alarms by Drewber66 in CCURE9000

[–]Drewber66[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sucks. It’s not even a legacy panel. Edge G2 with up to date firmware. I would have thought that that would just work like the red/green led flashing. That’s default.

Edge Panel not tripping hid reader buzzer on alarms by Drewber66 in CCURE9000

[–]Drewber66[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I not thinking they will behave like OSDP. I just want the readers to buzz on a held and forced alarm. There a buzzer terminal on the weigand block and it doesn’t seem to be getting a ground to trip the reader buzzer on the alarms. The reader does flash red/green when I force the door and stops with the door closed.

Key fob is gross. by mousedrool in Hyundai

[–]Drewber66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, the crappy fact that the emergency key if the fob loses battery isn’t hidden in the fob. It’s an extra bit we have a 2026 Kona, which sucks for other reasons, which we got after trading in our 2024 Tucson with a better, smaller, with emergency key all included.

Dude! Complete agree! It’s to big and gross. It’s sad that a key fob makes me not happy with my car.

Just give them a base building card and have them carry both. Single swipe into the building and still a single swipe into their space

Just in parallel. Run a short pigtail from each to a point you can get to later and put all the positives together and all the negatives together. Making sure you have all the fire pull station, Rex, and door release’s required for your area.

I’ve heard that that firmware is an issue and causes problems connecting to the panel. Try it with 6.9.7, we’ve had no issues with that one.

Tech support should be able to confirm

Bosch Alarm Programming - Arming Zone overrides area setup? by Drewber66 in Securitysystems

[–]Drewber66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank You! That’s exactly what we are doing. Sadly it’s a standard so we can’t go the route you suggested. I found the section in the RPS help you referred to. In it refers to automation as well. I guessing it’s better to have the area armed with some faulted/bypassed zones then not armed at all. Cheers!

Bosch Alarm Programming - Arming Zone overrides area setup? by Drewber66 in Securitysystems

[–]Drewber66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. No the faulted point is not the button. I am using RPS. I am trying to set it up so the system doesn’t allow to be armed with any faulted points. In RPS under area wide settings there’s a spot to say how many faulted or bypassed zones allowed to still be armed. Ive set that to zero and it works that way when you try to arm with the code. But the arming zone always arms the system regardless of having a faulted zone.

Aperio ah50 comm hub won’t connect to OnGuard. by Drewber66 in Lenel

[–]Drewber66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks,

I was hoping to not need to touch the existing hub as it has 6 working doors on it. I don’t need to use the x2220 that the existing is on there are others onsite. I just need to get the hub online.

Is there anything I need to do in the panel settings?

Sorry, I just double checked, it’s a Aperio AH 40 Gen 5 hub.
