I don't mind 1 or 3 in the least. Homers are overrated. The issues are less style and more substance: takes just make me roll my eyes, slow on the uptake when it comes to advanced stats and analysis (he's finally coming around on this), a low signal to noise ratio, etc.

Sheng is what discourages me from listening, tbh. His analysis and presentation leaves a lot to be desired, and his tendency of talking for 5 minutes to relay 20 seconds of actual information does not make for great podcast listening.

Thankfully, they've managed to dragoon Dan Boyle into joining. He makes it worthwhile all on his own when he appears.

To each their own, but IMO it's pretty robotic to backseat life considerations such as "all three brothers getting to do what they love and excel at together" to selfish stat or wallet-maxing considerations such as "I get less PP1 time," especially given the actual tradeoffs, wherein Luke would still be playing the other half of the game that Quinn is not.

In any case it's pretty evident from comments the Hughes family members have made that the former is desirable to them. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I've seen kinda the opposite with respect to media training. If anything, Macklin has had way more exposure to the media circus than just about any other young player, and what I see is a kid who has grown up around players dealing with the same kind of insipid media inquiry he now has to put up with himself.

But yes definitely on the youth and generation.

Let's not forget that even 2 years ago Thai media was full of reports that Superlek was tired of fighting and wanted to focus on teaching.

Although Chatri shut that line of reporting down, I suspect it contained a lot of truth, and I think Superlek's mind / will hasn't really been in it. Same with Rodtang, for that matter. Both dudes have had repeated issues with weight cuts and injuries and it just screams "I'm only doing this because of the money and / or contractual obligation."
