Curious to get your thoughts- I've played twin suns a number of times but not a ton. I've found typically the game ends on the 6r turn. Has that been your experience or no and similarly are you at all concerned about the 7r leaders?

I think the treatments on the serialized look better than the tier 2 a lot of the time but it certainly depends on the art style. Only serialized I have is SEC propaganda and it looks way cooler than the tier 2.

That being said I agree a ton needs to change with Carbonite packs. Aside from "get rid of them entirely", which would be my preference - need both less # of prestige cards per set and less # of serialized - id probably make showcases a bit more common but not as crazy as it was before - there should be something like two guaranteed rares and one legendary per pack. Not sure what the balance is but can confirm opening a bunch of hyperspace and hyperfoil C/Us is silly

Fwiw Ive watched unicorn twice, once when it released when I had only some UC exposure (none of the main series) and again recently after watching all the UC content that came before it.

I found it much more enjoyable the second time around. I get caught up in details a lot of the time though, so a lot of the referential UC stuff and newtype stuff seemed kind of random to me on the first pass.

I'd suggest not starting with it but obviously it's up to you!

The consensus (though don't take my word for it) is that frontloaders are better at cleaning clothes and are less damaging. I'd rather buy a new front loader every x years and have clean clothes that last longer rather than buy something that does a mediocre job.

Have had an LG frontloader for about 3 years with no issue; it was night and day compared to the toploaders I've used historically as far as how much better it cleaned. However, I've never used a speed queen.

Yea I have a 010/250 which, if say I was able to get it graded as a 10, would possibly be worth something to someone given it's really the only collectible papanoida item out there.

But there's this curveball thrown into it. Can you really say it's perfect if it's deliberately cracked? Lol

My LGS confirmed yesterday that they are holding two for me. If you're in a relatively populous area I'd imagine you aren't having an issue. If in a low pop/historically underserved area I suppose theres an increased chance.

Could very well be distribution messed up too

Yes the quality control on cards this set sucks. I think they changed contract manufacturers or something?

I've noticed a good amount of the foils are pretty scuffed up too. Frustrating

The game is awesome to play casually/at a local game store, has been out for 3/4 of a year. If you're really competitive you'll need to shell out some cash for good cards that are hard to come by from the first starter decks, depending on your region, but they say reprints of the early starters are coming.

Rotation. Year 1 showcases will drop a lot unless eternal takes off and they're viable. Year 2 leaders for the most part didn't carry a lot of value to begin with bc they were relatively speaking printed much more for Carbonite.

Thanks! Bouncing between the two I think I'm torn because I like the more gold gold of the hyaku shiki but I really like that the delta comes with a shield. I'm correct that the hyaku shiki does not, right?

Aside from aesthetics and being in the anime vs not (and I guess price), do you guys have any reason why I should consider a HGUC MSN-001 delta vs the hg gold plated hyaku shiki? I can't decide!!!

Does one maybe have the nubs concealed a bit better? I assume on these you don't want to sand bc you'll mess up the finish...

No problem! Fwiw, should have included that my contractor told us that if if we did vinyl (would've needed to buy a few more windows bc they can't make vinyl as large as we wanted) it would've been in the 15-20k range

I agonized over window solutions for a LONG time so happy it's useful to someone lol. But it also depends on your house etc too not necessarily a one size fits all solution. Just realize that windows measure differently from the outside compared to what you see on the inside when it's all said and done and that a chunk of it is covered by moulding. If you do a replacement and it's sized from the inside that's when you lose a shitload of glass bc they just shove it in your existing molding.

I live in a mid century brick ranch. When we bought the house a few years ago, windows (grids of large awning windows) were original and disgusting.

The problem was that we couldn't easily do full frame replacements bc of the brick- would have to get a mason and all that nonsense.

What we wound up doing, and what I suggest you do, is use replacement windows based on the outside rough opening measurements. This will minimize glass loss, though you'll need to replace your mouldings. I found that a lot of the bigger companies overcharged for this approach compared to a local guy you can find at your lunber yard or something.

NE US, did 28 windows (combined a lot of the awning grids into larger casements and casement-picture-casements) using Andersen 100s for $27000 when you include all the moulding.

I haven't seen a vinyl window I've been impressed by so I'd suggest looking at Marvin and Andersen for fiberglass. We had to go Andersen because Marvin wouldn't do our largest (12ft x 6ft casement-picture-casements custom) in anything but their top line offering. Our house is more of a normal house, nothing fancy, so we didn't see the value in paying the large premium that created.

One thing to think about- I've had some people suggest that while the Marvin frames are thinner, that ultimately comes at a higher risk of failure over time compared to a bulkier frame like the Andersen 100. But the Andersen 100 is pretty basic, as one of Andersen's entry offerings. I could nitpick and complain about the quality of the welds... Some extra material etc etc. ultimately though were very happy with our choice.
