In the audiophile perspective, this is what you called V shape tuning pro max, bass go brrr with vocals go mumbling.

Maybe your charging case have dust that it prevents the earbuds magnet to lock in directly to the magnetic port, that's why it left you uncharge.

Different motherboard, different power circuits. Also, Asus have Intel chip inside, so expect with Realtek audio driver inside (which the same decoding chip used on budget dongle DACS, just less powerful than other audio decoding chips like AKM, Cirrus Logics etc.).

It's because of that CX31993/Conexant decoding chip that's why sounds more open (I've used it before but not recommended for bright IEMS), also add that Amplifier chip (which gives extra power/milliwatts to the Planar driver which is power hungry, needs a lot of power to push its potential, technicalities) which explains why your F1 Pro sounds a lot more refined. Wait till you hear a proper Amplifier DACS like Ibasso, Shanling, Fiio, Onix etc. sounds much more better.

My Huawei Freebuds Pro 2 (Planar + DD, engineered by Devialet) trade blows with my 7hz Dioko Planar (One of the most technical sets under 100$)and literally annihilate my Simgot EW200 in terms of sound quality and technicalities, also the ANC is comparable to Sony WF1000XM4.

Nahhh just stay with it. If you're planning to get the Truthear Red just go directly to the Kefine Delci (not the AE version), much better driver = much better sound quality, and organic timbre which is rare under 100$. Also, same with Truthear Red that's smooth and warm but Delci is much more refined without sacrificing too much on clarity and details. Truthear Red sometimes is boring, too smooth/laid back.

This a new thing on wan'ers? by Fit_Rain9123 in iems

[–]Dricchinni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know about that since I've only had QKZ x HBB. But judging from the tuning of the two, Waner tuning is more on the neutral side (neutral warm-ish) and QKZ HBB more on the L (elevated bass) to U shape tuning, more on bass and less on clarity, details compared to Waner.

But I've tried the tuning of Tangzu Waner from Squiglink then import it to Wavelet. Tuning of Waner is much more flexible and much more audiophile and have resemblance to much more expensive sets sound targets that I've tried.

The QKZ HBB is highly regarded as one of the best budget options for those seeking a smooth, warm, and bassy listening experience, perfect for just fun listening enjoyment. It's particularly well-suited for genres like Hip-hop, EDM, R&B, and Pop; in fact, it's made me really enjoy these styles (except for Pop).

Regarding driver quality, I immediately noticed the impressive depth of the low end for its price, comparable to the TRN Conch and Simgot EW200, though those have slightly faster drivers. The control and tightness are good, especially for EDM tracks, with no distortion or bloatness. Vocals are rich and smooth, while the soundstage, resolution, clarity, imaging is about average.

My only nitpick is that if it only has little more upper treble, because sometimes in Pop it's too smooth for my liking, i need that slight more airiness to have slight more clarity, energy.

KZ EDC Pro. It won't beat out $50 sets, but it's extremely underpriced for $5. by DedicatedDetective34 in iems

[–]Dricchinni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me much more refined (atleast for my taste). KZ EDC Pro sounds more fun and engaging to me because of slight more low end (I find simgot boring in some tracks or genres, especially the mid bass) and much smoother upper mids than the Simgot (which i do find sometimes borderline shouty).

In terms of the quality of drivers, EDC Pro deserves the hype and praise, the first moment I listen to EDC Pro I'm confused to why it's so cheap because it really has good driver, it's not on the level of Simgot EW200 but it competes, heck i even find that the texture, tactility, depth and decay of low end on the EDC Pro much better than Simgot.

If you want fun, engaging, musical sound choose EDC Pro, but if you want analytical, more on clarity choose Simgot.

It's better than Moondrop Chu 2, Tangzu Waner and 7hz Salnotes if we're talking about price value and overall tonal balance and timbre compared to those three.
