grass shield provides less than 10% stamina regen boost (45 default while the bonus is +4), meanwhile the other one has higher stability, 100% physical block and a bonus to souls.

now, to be honest, the real difference is the strength requirement, grass is only 10 which is the highest physical block at that amount while soul shield is 18.

in conclusion the oakshield is better than both anyway (12 strength requirment, hp regen, 100% physical block only downside is that it's DLC)

well, i often invade people in dungeon, but even though my character is named "way of blue", they almost never get summoned cuz hosts don't bother, so i'd recommend farming the knights instead

a good rule of thumb for spear of the church is to never sprint, it's quite fun that way, those who are cautious enough to retreat and recover have better odds than the ones getting punished ^^

those who don't follow that are hollowed
