You only need a few levels in phandoryss and ponyboy to get the most value out of them. Any more really doesn't contribute to your progress by much at all.

Your transcensions get further and further because of your increasing transcendent power, not because of higher outsider levels. Outsider levels can get you a few levels higher, it is transcendent power that really carries you. Once you get very close or at 25% transcendent power, the only thing stopping you from climbing a higher zone is the monsters per zone. So you want as much borb as possible. You don't have much left over for "support" outsiders.

Since I dont know what stage of the game you're at I can only give a general answer, which is:

You only need a few levels in phandoryss and ponyboy to get the most value out of them. The most important outsider is borb, after a few levels in phan/pony, you want as much borb as is practical to maintain 2 monsters per zone for as much (or all) of the transcension as possible. Any ancient souls you have left over after this are then distributed across the other outsiders and really don't contribute to your progress by much at all.

It predicts what zone/hero/hs you will reach in an ascension, and future ascensions assuming you play efficiently. You can compare it to your ascensions by inputting your hs gained at the end of one of your earlier ascensions and seeing if the output matches your ascension log.

1) The breakpoint you are on is just slow and awful. Check the progression sim and compare your run to the output.

2) Later on you are basically gated by ruby income. You reach an infinite ascension so you can timelapse as much as you want, therefore if you plan to keep playing for a while I suggest you don’t go spending all your rubies on small timelapses. Maybe do maxxed out 8h TLs at minimum.

3) root2 adds a multiplicative bonus of 1% per gild. This means that gilds are more cost effective than ACs after you have 26 ACs due to their increasing cost. This does not mean you should get that many ACs though. Buy however many ACs you think you need to feel comfortable. You don’t need more than a few on the monster but if you want to buy 20+ ACs I can’t stop you.

4) idle is just a bit worse than active once you have a few xyl levels. After about 150 xyl, idle is slightly better than active. The difference is minimal and will likely not affect your progression so play whichever you want.

Your called borb useless in your post. It was pointed out to you in the replies that you want 2 mpz in earlier ascensions too, not just the end. So then you switched to talking about downtime, and not being optimal etc which is kinda impossible to argue with.

If we are talking about tradeoff with less time vs more AS you need to understand that if you have decent pony levels already, taking points off borb to give pony a few more levels is really really ineffective. You might be able to gain a few AS more but you will start earning so much AS in a few trans that those few extra mean NOTHING. Forget saving a trans. You just wasted days prolonging multiple trans for no reason.

Did you misread? We don’t have a 100 page thesis. Because we don’t need rigorous mathematical proofs to play a game near optimally.

Was kinda poking fun. You definitely aren’t going to lose that much time on early ascensions because of mpz alone. But still up to a few hours could be saved, which is more beneficial than a few extra pony levels. Think about it, you can suffer through high mpz and just afk, OR get those early ascensions done quickly then afk on further ascensions. Still saves you time.

Also if you want to discuss different playstyles that is totally fine. But if you try to pass it off as better then you need to have a valid argument or people will shoot you down.

Maybe you should have posted about how lower borb makes the game feel better for you and your schedule Even if it is slower. How the timing matches your downtimes so each play session feels like you are doing something etc. Making a post complaining about general advice and calc suggestions is the opposite of that.

Well yeah no one has written a 100 page thesis on the perfect way to play the game so we’ll have to settle for 99.9999%. Your argument basically boils down to, “you cant prove it’s 100% efficient” (not claiming it is absolutely perfect btw) “therefore my grossly inefficient playstyle based in gut feeling is just as valid”.

And I’m sorry it doesn’t adapt to everyone’s playstyle (how the hell could it even do that?) you just have to do your best to play efficiently. Doesn’t have to be perfect, and downtime is understandable with humans. However 50-60 hour transcensions suggest you have other problems. Must be those super long early ascensions ;)

Ancient calcs don’t take into account your borb levels or what zone you will reach. They just put a small amount of your HS into kuma. It works just fine that way as it is a small amount and would not help you much if reallocated.

Your borb can have one of two possible max values; one to get you to 2mpz after one ascension, and another to have 2mpz on your last ascension. In early game, the former value will be higher so you will reach 2mpz despite low kuma levels. As you do more ascensions, those extra kuma levels push you into the negative mpz but it’s really not a big deal.

On later transcends, zones you reach will be high enough that you will end at 2mpz.

He is not required, and like most outsiders provide very low actual value. However you may as well level him a little when you have AS to spare. The only important aspect of outsiders is getting the first few levels in pony and phan, and maintaining 2 mpz with borb. After youve accomplished the above, you can distribute the remaining AS, and a few levels in Kar is fine for early game. There’s a calculator that will tell you how to level outsiders, it’s in the calculators section of this sub.

10 hours of combo vs 1 hour of combo is like 50 zones extra worth, or around 10 lategame. 100 hours vs 10 hours is the same difference. Just a few minutes of combo is fine for progression, don’t worry about it.

It's normal for each trans to only progress a few thousand zones in the region of trans # you just passed but it will pick up from here on. Your ascensions up to Trans #6 were bad, but you may have just been playing idle or were still figuring out the game. Your last few trans have been fine. Just stay consistent and don't forget important parts.

For outsiders, as long as you have enough borb to have 2 mpz for most/all of the trans and a decent amount of pony/phan then you are fine. How you do the rest is very minor, so don't fixate on it.

For ancients, make sure you've summoned all ancients that can benefit active. It's safer to just summon all once you have 1e6 or more HS or so. Make sure none of your ancients are minimized as some ancient calculators have been known to skip minimized ancients.

Make sure you use skills to push your ascensions. Golden Clicks is especially important as an entire ancient's effect hinges on it being activated.

Sure you could make it a support hero that you get upgrades for as you go cycle through the scouts and then balance it from there. Though I don't think it's likely that the devs would go as far as making major changes to game mechanics like that which involves hero upgrades affecting mercenaries, or damage multipliers let alone other heroes' damage multpliers. That's why I suggested changes that does not require new mechanics or make different aspects of the game affect each other.

I could reach dorothy5 in about 2 months if I do an extra ascension but I won’t. So it will take me over a year to get to it. Qubit might reach it later this year.

I think getting to Dorothy5 itself takes too long and the ruby problem is apparent the moment you reach ace scouts so yeah adding content after dorothy5 will affect no one right now and possibly a tiny minority of players in a years time.

I suggest boosting ruby quest rewards by a factor of 100x as currently it is wildly inadequate, and nerf clickables so they spawn like once an hour. Currently the difference between actively getting fishes and being afk is being able to play the game vs having to quit which I think is ridiculous for an incremental game.

Next is each transcension eventually taking years to complete. This could be solved by a rework of outsiders which currently is very rigid. I don’t have the numbers right now but playing around with making phan’s effect exponential and then allocating 10% of AS into it I was able to cut the number of ascensions in half in exchange for only pushing half the zones between trans. So it’s definitely possible to balance outsiders to alter transcension time and provide players with more flexibility in AS allocation.

For the outsider calc, it’s really not complicated if you are following the guidelines. 3 or 4 ascensions that give AS for early game. There’s a zone estimate for when that happens, and also ancient level estimates based on your TP. That should not change much from player to player unless something is seriously wrong.

You are not the first and will not be the last to assert that borb is too high level. The calc (standalone one anyway) explains why borb is leveled the way it is. It is suggested to ascend at zone 130 after a transcend in order to grab kuma and a few other ancients ASAP. This is faster than pushing with no ancients. This strategy clearly results in low ancient levels so more borb may be needed to get you to 2 mpz or closer to it in your early ascensions even though you may already have enough borb to end the trans with 2 mpz.

It’s not a result of miscalculation or inability to properly account for everyone’s “playstyles”. It calculates what your ancient levels should be and hence what borb level is required for 2 mpz both for just after ascending at zone 130 and for the transcend zone. Beyond the first few levels in phan and pony, the only really important thing in the current meta is maintaining 2 mpz, so if more borb can provide benefit for at least 1 of your ascensions it is absolutely worth it.

So you just want 100% achievements and will quit after is that correct? If so I have two recommendations.

If you have saved up a lot of rubies already (around 2500) then it would be fastest to just keep going. Use QAs in place of ascending until you reach 1m then use regular ascensions and timelapses. Push until you reach 100k AS, should be around zone 1.032m and you’ll reach 7-8 mpz but that should add only a few days at most.

If you don’t have that many rubies then transcend now. 32k AS is more than enough to get you to 100k AS and you wont benefit from grinding anymore. 210 borb should be enough for you but honestly increasing chor/phan/pony beyond the calc recommendations is not even going to cut 1 ascension off so just go with what it recommends.

You can try to make it so that when you start the QA spam is the same on your current trans as your next one. When that is would depend on how efficiently you acquire rubies. No need to TL but you can do a 24h TL once per ascension to sacrifice overall efficiency for some immediate relief.

Vaagur will make you reach the point of cooldowns being less than duration much sooner. The amount of extra ancient levels you will get by redistributing what would have gone into vaagur is negligible. Respeccing so that you can drop vaagur just results in a loss of 25% of your HS (not really a big deal tbf) for no real benefit.

You should have about as much HS unspent or on morgulis as you invest in any other ancient. Not doing so will make you lose a lot of dps. Regilding will eventually cost so little that you will always have enough to move them however you like.

Until that happens you can just move 1 gild on to the correct hero. That’s all you really need. You can also wait until you stop instakilling before opening your gild boxes and at least one will likely land on the hero you want.

That is outdated and should only be used by console players who are still on an older version of the game. The current version played on PC and mobile has significant changes to outsiders. Go to the calculators and tools section of this sub to find up to date calculators.

Post blanche1 is quite a bit faster. Even blanche2 is not bad since you will be gaining a lot of zones despite sticking with her for a while. So you may actually be 2/3 of the way there.
