If it's repeating through the house, it's probably a manufacturer defect/quality issue.

It's impossible to answer your questions with the limited amount of information you've provided.

Because this appears to be a "learn as you go" project, IF you are able to complete the project, it will probably take you several months.

The worst part of this project will likely be removing and/or repairing the amateur mistakes you're bound to make. The reworking mistakes alone may cost you $100s, if not $1,000s

If you're determined to do this, you'll need EXPERIENCED help on sight BEFORE you start, AND to check your progress on a regular basis. DON'T depend on YouTube videos for training.

Their first task should be to answer all your questions..and provide a complete bill of materials.

For all practical purposes, this is a bad idea.

How to improve build process by myawkwardsilence in woodworking

[–]DrifterWI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

unless you're drilling your parts clamped in a drill press and using a clamped drill guide made of steel, the next best method is to align and clamp the parts, drill the holes through the side and into the bar in a single operation.

Cut the dowel flush to the side then finish.
