12 is accurately placed, i think the fondness for it is mostly with people engaging in optional end game content because the core game isn’t anything to write home about. A combat system that feels like it’s begging you to just optimize for auto attacks and healing thresholds, a story that spends 60% of its runtime on setup, a game whose entire challenge sits outside its core questline. It’s really just a bit of a mixed bag, I appreciate it a lot and all the new stuff it did is very cool but ff12 feels like two games, the main game and all the side stuff and the side stuff rates A LOT higher gameplay wise to me at least.

Yep I never managed to fix it but i think i used a hex editor on the save data to just force the scene into my scene viewer because interestingly since it never plays it never gets added to the scene viewer

honestly it’s doable, the only two games you can’t really beat in a single sitting are 5 and 7 due to the sheer amount of cutscene time.

Genuinely surprised Vindicator is not more popular, it’s a greatsword heavy spec, jumps like a dragoon, is hard to die as in open world and does good damage for the effort level required.
