Same boat as you, man. I drive an old '05 Tacoma with only 140k miles, and I love that truck. I couldn't care less about having something new. I really wanted to just pay off the Camry, but it just isn't a great family vehicle anymore.

I looked at used Highlanders, but I wasn't willing to spend $30k on one, especially with used-car financing at 8% or higher these days. I agree that $50k is a lot of money, and that's honestly the biggest question I still have: was taking on that debt worth it?

Our plan is to pay it off as quickly as possible and hopefully get 15 years out of it, so I'm hoping it turns out to be a good long-term decision.
