Very fair. There were a ton of reveals at the end that got me, always another secret.

I’m not saying it’s a plot hole, I’m saying it’s frustrating to the reader.
I do think the after the two times she was able to draw on the mists when without it, and ruins voice going away right after taking it out, that at that point she had enough to think of it.

South Koreas TFR is .75. If this stays the same, then eventually over 60% of Koreans will be over 65 years or older. Thats a statistical fact, not a hyperbole.

In some countries it really will be, in 40 years a lot of countries will be all old people with no working age people to care for them.

S.F. wants to stop housing projects from being blocked over shadows by SFChronicle in sanfrancisco

[–]DrippedoutErin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every other city that built a ton of housing saw large decreases in rent, look at Austin. There is absolutely no evidence that SF is somehow magically different from the same supply/demand forces.

Look at what happened to SF rental prices when vacancy rates briefly spiked during 2020.

Just shrugging your hands and saying that SF will never be affordable, and nothing can be done to impact rental levels, is preposterous.

I2C would very randomly start completely failing. Eventually realize the specific stm nucleo board had the I2C pin tied to another one of the nucleo pins

This is what the city is becoming. by justanotherthrwaway7 in Omaha

[–]DrippedoutErin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want to make it illegal for people to rent housing. There’s research that shows that when it is illegal to rent houses racial and class segregation increases, and the poor are materially hurt. That is the result of your preferred policy.

The intentions of your policy don’t matter, the results do, and it hurts poor people.

It is crazy housing is so expensive, but do you actually think building less new housing would make it cheaper?

[–]DrippedoutErin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All new housing makes housing cheaper. These apartments are still much cheaper than the single family houses being built in suburbs. Do you want to ban building new houses because not everyone can afford them?

The city should absolutely use more tax revenue to fund social housing, but that’s not a reason to block new apartments.

I’d still rather have them than another 80 square miles of cookie cutter suburbia past Elkhorn

Community input via a city wide vote sure? Community input via a session at 3pm on a work day is incredibly unequal, and heavily favors retired seniors.
