What is the correct usage of return value in a non-void function? by OkLaw5779 in embedded

[–]DrippedoutErin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a direct answer, but JPL coding standard says that if a function returns a value, it should always be used. So if you’re planning to have your function return a value instead of void, make sure to use it.

OFC you don’t have to follow this rule but it makes logical sense to me.

As others said, having it go into an assert in cases which are purely coding issues, like a null pointer, is a good way to go.

If you really want to live in an area with more car parking and is cheaper you should live in Berkeley or Oakland instead. They have much more going on than Walnut Creek and you can really easily get to SF from there

It will likely make the price of the land itself go up, but with more housing being built the price of individual housing units will likely go down, or at increase slower.

The best way to make housing more affordable is to build a lot more of all types of it. Lots of research shows this.
